The "Clash In the Clayton 2" International Kickboxing & K-1 promotion in the beautiful Clayton Hotel on Sunday evening was a huge success! All seventeen fights were evenly matched and very exciting. Ireland scored a draw with England in the seven man team event with three wins, three loss and one no contest due to an accidental clash of heads. This was a real shame as Ireland's Jamie O Sullivan from Clonberne, Co Galway was well ahead on all three judges scorecards and would surely have took the win. He had his English counterpart in all sorts of trouble up to that point.

The highlight of the team event was from Galways World Gold medalist Saoirse Joyce. She knocked her English opponent Abi Turp out cold with a vicious straight right punch in round two that would have dropped a horse. Catherine Jennings from Galway and Fiachra Bond from Bray both took fantastic points victories over their English opponents in two very tough fights. These two young warriors have a great future in the ring.

Martin Ward from Na Fianna Gym in Athlone is the new IKF All Ireland Unified Rules (K-1) Cruiserweight Champ after a brilliant second round stoppage over teak tough Dubliner Ian Henderson. Gail Snoddy from Belfast stopped Sharon Lynch from Dungarvan with a liver kick in Round four to claim the IKF All Ireland Senior Flyweight Kickboxing Title. Galways Damien Creavin took a super points victory over Aaron Coyle from Donegal and Galways Gary Elbert had another great win over Conor Broderick from Thurles.

Cian Mc Cormack from Kinvara stopped his Waterford opponent Rytis Danielius with vicious leg kicks in the second round. European K-1 Champ Paul "The Hurricane" Huish from Knocknacarra stopped his opponent Gherado Frusci from Italy in round two with a master class performance in the main event. Chloe Collins from Oranmore took on old for Jade Kavanagh from Limerick for the IKF Junior All Ireland Flyweight Title in one of the contests of the evening and she stopped the Limerick lass with a picture perfect right hook in round four, landing right on the button. Kavanagh was unable to continue and Galway won yet another All Ireland IKF title.

Galway Black Dragon Kickboxing club coach Pete Foley is super proud of all of his fighters! Win, lose or draw they all left everything in the ring. The IKF Point Kickboxing Team welcomes long time Martial Artist and Kickboxer Mr. "Keith Sudyod" Morreira, of Jacksonville, Florida as one of our New IKF Point Muay Thai Kickboxing Promoters in the State of Florida. Keith and

"I have worked together for several events. He is an excellent Judge and competitor in the sport. Moreover, he is one of the most passionate people you will meet when it comes to martial arts."
Said Johnny Davis, President of *IKF Point Kickboxing.
"I find Keith to be very knowledgeable and understands the different levels of the sport in regards to contact which is paramount in keeping fighters safe."

He noted "I am excited about the Technical PKB-Tournament format. I believe it is a rung in the development ladder that is missing in the North Florida Market. We have so many awesome gyms, coaches and fighters in North Florida that will be able to showcase their developing talent with these events. My mission is to provide a safe and organized platform for fighters and coaches to develop their skills so they move on to full contact events like Battle of Siam and full contact tournaments like the IKF East Coast Classic. After being successful at those events, GLORY Kickboxing, Lions Fights and other professional Muay Thai / Kickboxing organizations will be calling."

Keith will be promoting his first IKF Point Kickboxing (PKB) "semi contact" event on Saturday, October 31st in Orange Park, Florida at the Combat Athletix Club located at 307 Blanding Blvd. Orange Park, Florida 32073. This event is excellent for men, women and children and we hope that local fight clubs will get behind Keith in supporting this great event with anticipation of many more to come.

Johnny Davis will be the IKF Representative in attendance for Keith's first IKF/PKB event as he seeks to establish a new IKF/PKB Florida Representative since the former IKF/PKB Representative stepped down after a successful six year run promoting IKF Point Kickboxing events.

IKF Promoter Vinny O Brien hosted another excellent fightnight in a packed out Lawlors Hotel, Dungarvan on Saturday, 12 September but it was not without incident. The main event was to be local hero and multiple Irish Champ Brett Egen taking on Grondin from the South of France but disaster struck when Grondin was injured and pulled out, 3 days before the event. IKF Ireland Rep Pete Foley and Promoter Vinny were under severe pressure to replace him on such short notice and after several phone calls, emails, texts etc. around Europe, they eventually found a tough fighter from Poland who was ready to rock.

The fighter, Jacub Poczatek, was delighted with the offer as he too had a fight cancelled for the same night on another promotion. Because of this, he had a full training camp behind him and he was unbeaten - problem solved. In typical fashion, just after agreeing the fight with Poczatek, more offers came in from Belgium, France and Holland. The main event was a classic encounter with the Polish fighter looking for big shots and local man Brett Egen in full defensive mode. It was a tactic that served him well as. Although Poczatek probably won the first round, Egen hung in there and ground out a decision to win the vacant IKF Amateur International Rules European Light Cruiserweight Title, much to the delight of the packed to capacity fight fans.

Galways James Kelly had a fantastic TKO win in round two over old foe Jack Power from Dungarvan to claim the IKF - 60kg Junior Amateur International Rules Irish Title. John Cawley from Dungarvan took a points decision to claim the IKF Amateur Full Contact Rules - 69.5kg crown from outgoing champ Adam Keane from Galway in his first defence.

Amy Wall from Bray defeated Chloe Quinn from Tipperary by referee stoppage in the 5th round to claim the IKF Junior Amateur Full Contact Rules Irish Flyweight Title.

Not Just For Novice!
Now In The Fourth of Five Deadlines - Ends October 2nd!

The Lightweight Division is a perfect example of why the IKF East Coast Kickboxing Classic will be an event to attend! We will have some of the best amateur fighters in the world participating in this tournament and will show you why Kickboxing is one of the most exciting contact sports in the world!

For Example, Franklin Rivas Mairena (Left) of Costa Rica has a record of 26 wins with only 3 defeats. To show how tough the competition comes to the IKF East Coast Kickboxing Classic, Rivas actually fell short in his first attempt at the East Coast Championship back in 2013 when the first event was held in Dillon, South Carolina. His opponent Wes Bass of Georgia, won a close decision over Mairena.

Since that time, Mairena has shown his tremendous skills by coming back and claiming the IKF World Classic titles in Florida... back to back in 2014 and 2015. He wants this title badly as he has his sights set on bigger fights ahead. However, another experienced fighter has entered his division Patrick Armstrong (Right) of Oshawa, Canada who has an impressive record of 14-2-2 and is trained by Kru Brendan Kalijundic. Patrick is coming to prove that he is the real champion in the lightweight division.

This division alone proves that the IKF East Coast Kickboxing Classic is for all classes of Amateur fighters and with only 4 people per division, we simply want the best fighters in the world to come and see if they have what it takes to leave with the brass! The lightweight division has two more slots...for you...Take the challenge!

We have several other divisions that are brewing to be highly contested like the Super Welterweights Open Modified Muay Thai Division which is completely full with fighters that have good records and recognizable trainers!

Clubs, who may be a little reluctant to enter, should not be sitting back on this one. As we have said, we are not trying to be the largest tournament of this kind, we do promise you a very nice event with nice awards and fair judging!

We have fighters from Canada like the Fighting Foden Family who are itching for fights in the USA and are waiting on contenders in their divisions. Perhaps some are hesitant because of their records that show experience but as the title of this story suggest, the tournament is not just for the Novice but for all amateurs from around the world who can attend! One junior female fighter has a record of 9-0 from Canada but we know there are junior girls in the United States who have similar records...Will the USA fighters sit this one out or step up to the plate?…We will see…

Moreover, if you think your fighter is good, why not test them now before they try and go to bigger events. The four person bracket division is the perfect format to test your fighters without as much wear and tear. Sign them up and show us what they have! IKF Promoter Scott Harper delivered another great night of fight action that featured IKF Kickboxing along with Mixed Martial Arts. A day of rain couldn't deter hundreds of fight fans and fighters from attending the "Country Rocks the Cage" event at the scenic Southeastern Arena in Nicholls, Georgia, USA. A rainy front parked over the Coffee County, Georgia, area for most of the day. However, about 3 PM the gates opened to dozens of vehicles lined up on Flying Hawk Road for entrance to the unique venue.

IKF action saw 2 of the 3 bouts scheduled end by TKO. Fan favorite, Dalton Durden returned to the cage, fresh off his first IKF World Classic experience. Alex Hinson (WATCH THIS GUY FOLKS) debuted, delivering head kicks and a calm demeanor like a seasoned professional.

WHERE WERE YOU?
We had just got done with our 2001 IKF National Kickboxing Tournament in Olath (Kansas City) Kansas. It was Tuesday morning, September 11th, 2001 and I was packing up our office in the hotel conference room... And it all unfolded moment by moment on the TV we had on... We weren't scheduled to leave until the next day but we choose to leave the hotel because all the planes were grounded and all the hotels needed rooms for the stranded passengers. So we decided to drive towards home, away from the city... Over the next few days we saw a different America... From long lines at the gas stations with $6 per gallon prices to people panicked that our country was under attack.. But one thing held true everywhere we went... Our country had come together... And even if for only a short time, our country, for the first time in a long time was United... I can remember it like it was yesterday...
