In Europe, Semi Contact draws hundreds of fighters to ALL Their big Tournaments. However, here in the USA, the Semi Contact Kickboxing and Muay Thai style of fighting has been slower to catch on. That being said, don't think it hasn't because due to hard work and persistence and an excited tribe of followers that include many gyms, trainers, fighters and of course event Officials, IKF Point Kickboxing and Muay Thai ( IKF/PKB ) has been experiencing tremendous growth.

There have been several groups who have tried to duplicate the rule style of IKF/PKB but none have come close to what Johnny Davis created back in the 90's. As a division of the International Kickboxing / Muay Thai Federation, the IKF/PKB is without a doubt, the fastest growing Semi Contact fighting sport in the nation! With over 50 events already scheduled for 2018, IKF/PKB has proved to be an exciting introduction level to a sport that is experiencing rapid growth thanks to the work of the IKF/PKB staff that include IKF/PKB President Johnny Davis and his diligent staff that include Daniel Hodges, Ryan Hodges, and many others.

While other sanctioning bodies have bailed out of the stand up sport business to seek the $$ in MMA, the IKF has stepped up their game. In 2014 the California State Athletic Commission (CSAC) delegated the IKF as the official regulators of all Amateur Kickboxing and Muay Thai in the state of California. Since their delegation, the IKF has sanctioned and regulated 182 events in California alone, and that number does not include the many IKF/PKB events that have covered the state.

Expanding the IKF/PKB even more is the announcement that the IKF/PKB will also host the IKF/PKB World Cup Tournament at the 2018 IKF World Classic. Maybe some of those European Semi Contact Teams that claim to be so good will make the trip to Orlando Florida this next summer to challenge the North American base of Semi Contact Fighters at the IKF World Classic.

Although MMA may still be strong here in the USA, one thing is for sure... The IKF never cashed in for those MMA $$. This, despite creating the very first MMA Sanctioning body, the ISCF, International Sport Combat Federation, which is still one of the largest MMA Sanctioning bodies in the world. While the ISCF team kept moving along and is making new changes here in the USA with the help of ISCF VP Steven A Crawford Sr., the ISCF is positioned for even more growth. The IKF continues to be persistent, which includes their work around the globe by other IKF leaders such as Carl Sams, Pete Foley, Felix Perez, Colin Payne and many, Many others around the globe.

This past year the IKF alone sanctioned over 2,000 Kickboxing and Muay Thai events worldwide and it's sister organizations such as the ISCF MMA - www.ISCFMMA.com and the IAB, International Association of Boxing (Pros) and International Amateur Boxing (Amateurs) - www.IABBoxing.com added to those numbers even more. All of which are under the worldwide banner of International Fight Sports, a global fight sport company ( www.ifightsports.com )

In all, to those in the IKF as well as everyone else under the International Fight Sports banner, work has turned in to fun, and all that fun can be summed up in IKF/PKB's Free Flow Academy video who hosted it's first IKF/PKB Semi Contact Tournament a little while back which was a huge success with over 100 semi contact fighters registered, and an amazing spectator turnout. The IKF Point Muay Thai / Kickboxing World Cup will Return in 2018 at the 2018, 20th Anniversary of the IKF World Classic on August 3-5th, 2018 in Orlando, Florida! The event will be held at the beautiful Hyatt Regency in Orlando, just minutes away from some great vacation destinations such as Disney World, Epcot, Animal Kingdom and Universal Orlando.

"We want to give all those Semi Contact fighters around the world enough notice so they can bring their entire fight teams to this event."
said IKF/PKB President Johnny Davis.

It's a great opportunity for both the Semi Contact fighters as well as the Full Contact Fighters to Go For The Gold as entire teams. As always, IKF/PKB is an exciting semi contact world class sparring event! Every year at the IKF World Classic the IKF Point Kickboxing Tournament is featured on Saturday night and has always been a super exciting part of the IKF World Classic. However, this time…the stakes are higher and the awards are more grand!

At this years IKF World Classic the IKF/PKB World Cup Tournament will start a little earlier on Saturday, August 4th, 2018 than in the past (6:PM). This year we will start it at approximately 3:PM for rules etc. as we are expecting a larger turnout...so, you will need to plan accordingly as the Full Contact Portion more than likely will not be completed.

      • Xavier Barker did not know where he was or what day it was. Dr. Jelen stated that Barker complained of a severe headache and was very agitated, showing significant signs of Concussion, possible brain trama.
      • After evaluation by the paramedics in the ambulance, Barker refused to go the hospital. The Paramedics had Mr. Barker sign a waiver and refusal to be treated. 30-45 minutes later.
      • Xavier Barker walked away from the venue with his family members and trainer/promoter, Rolando Montano. Mr. Montano returned to the venue stating that Xavier Barker had left with his family and that Mr. Barker was going to the E.R. by private vehicle.

      • HOWEVER: Noah Pavl / Paul claimed he was unable to read the doctor's writing of required medical tests for clearance.

      • (**) Noah Pavl / Paul attained his IKF CA fighters license again on "IFS 29" September 30th, 2017 but did not fight because he came in 5+ lbs under weight and was given a 60 day "Weight not Made" Suspension until November 23, 2017.
      • Due to the closeness of the two events, Noah Pavl / Paul's suspension was missed by the IKF for this event.
        Despite the IKF missing his Medical Suspension, Noah Pavl / Paul and his Trainer Daniel Higgins knew he was under a Medical Suspension.
        On this same event Noah Pavl / Paul's was cleared for his IKF CA Fighters License, but did not attain his FULL PHYSICAL.
        Noah Pavl / Paul's had until October 25th, 2017 (To avoid an additional 90 day suspension) to send a completed FULL FIGHTERS Physical to the IKF but never did.
      • Noah Pavl / Paul's Medical Suspension was also extended an additional 30 days until December 4th, 2017.
      • HOWEVER, The Medical Suspension Noah Pavl / Paul received on October 7th, 2017 at Ladera Ranch, CA are longer, and his MEDICAL SUSPENSION actually ends on April 6, 2018.

IKF Promoter Sean O Neill put on another fantastic event in the Oldcastle Cinema in Oldcastle, Co. Meath on Saturday 25th November.

The venue was class, the fights were excellent, the matchmaking was spot on, Justin the MC had the crowd on fire, Dr. Julie Mc Cadden and the Civil Defence did a first class job keeping everyone safe, the lovely ring girl kept everyone's attention. Nice trophies, a packed house of over 600 people, an Ireland VS France International Heavyweight Unified Rules bout for main event and two brilliant Irish Title fights certainly all gave the fight fans great value for money on a Saturday night.

IKF Promoter Mr. Yoshi Yahudah of Athens, Georgia had another successful event this past Friday night with 9 exciting Fights, great action and some terrific knockouts! Fighters, Trainers and Fans gave awesome support for this event with more to come! His next event is on Friday, February 23rd, 2018 back a the venue Venom.

In the main event, Athens' own Ankur Mathews (8-7) showed great poise in winning a Unanimous Decision over the highly technical Andrew Le (5-2) of Atlanta, Georgia. This was a very nice matchup where both men landed nice shoots including elbows in this full rule Muay Thai bout. By the way, Venom, the location of the event was a great for hosting this event! The ambiance was awesome and heard someone even say…"it feels like a Las Vegas show in here!" Exactly the atmosphere he is shooting for with the lighting, sound and great music!

    • ON October 7th, 2017 at Ladera Ranch, CA: Noah Pavl / Paul was issued a 180 day no training and 180 day no competition Medical Suspension until April 06, 2018 by Dr. Matthew Pautz due to TKO Loss and Injury.
      His trainer Daniel Higgins was well aware of this Medical Suspension.
      • HOWEVER: Noah Pavl / Paul claimed he was unable to read the doctor's writing of required medical tests for clearance.
    • ADDED:
      • (**) Noah Pavl / Paul attained his IKF CA fighters license again on "IFS 29" September 30th, 2017 but did not fight because he came in 5+ lbs under weight and was given a 60 day "Weight not Made" Suspension until November 23, 2017.
      • Due to the closeness of the two events, Noah Pavl / Paul's suspension was missed by the IKF for this event.
        Despite the IKF missing his Medical Suspension, Noah Pavl / Paul and his Trainer Daniel Higgins knew he was under a Medical Suspension.
        On this same event Noah Pavl / Paul's was cleared for his IKF CA Fighters License, but did not attain his FULL PHYSICAL.
        Noah Pavl / Paul's had until October 25th, 2017 (To avoid an additional 90 day suspension) to send a completed FULL FIGHTERS Physical to the IKF but never did.
      • Noah Pavl / Paul's Medical Suspension was also extended an additional 30 days until December 4th, 2017.
      • HOWEVER, The Medical Suspension Noah Pavl / Paul received on October 7th, 2017 at Ladera Ranch, CA are longer, and his MEDICAL SUSPENSION actually ends on April 6, 2018.
      • The ADDITIONAL Medical Suspension that was added to Noah Pavl / Paul for trying to fight WHILE UNDER MEDICAL SUSPENSION now ends on MAY 6th, 2018!!
      • His TRAINER, Daniel Higgins, also received a 90 day Medical Safety / Disciplinary Suspension for allowing his fighter Noah Pavl / Paul to fight WHILE UNDER MEDICAL SUSPENSION until December 29th, 2017!!
