SECOND NOTICE
ATTENTION
FIGHTERS OF THE
IKF WORLD CLASSIC!

ALL FIGHTERS
MUST SHOW PROOF OF A ROOM KEY AT REGISTRATIONS
THAT THEY ARE
REGISTERED AT THE HOST HOTEL

The ONLY Fighters who are EXEMPT from this rule are fighters living within 50 miles from the hotel. If so, please bring a copy of a mapquest with your address on it for proof of location.

Some may be asking WHY we have this rule. Well, the rule helps us in many ways, as well as you. First, if we need to locate you for a schedule change, bout change, etc. etc, we need to be able to get a message to you easily through our hotel contacts. If you are injured during the bout and we need to contact your parents, who should also be at the hotel, again, we need to be able to get ahold of you easily. Those living outside the 50 mile radius and not registered at the host hotel will not be allowed to register to fight. Simply put, we do not want to deal with the problems we have had in the past with issues that arise from the breaking of this rule. Thank you for your understanding.

NON REGISTERED HOTEL PENALTY
Although this has been a posted rule since the 2003 IKF Tournament, we are sure some will still not be "Registered" at the Host Hotel. Because of this, there will be a penalty fee for those not abiding by this rule. The penalty fee for this will be $50 for anyone not able to show proof of hotel registration which will be a Hotel Recept with the individuals name on it. Keep in mind, the IKF already has a hotel manifest with all the names of the Registered Hotel Guests (Whenther checked-in or yet to check-in with reservations) participating in the tournament. This fee can be paid at registrations when you are asked for your hotel room number.

The Fight World Says Goodbye To
USKBA President
PAUL ROSNER

PAUL ROSNER

By Stephen R. Koepfer, President, American Sambo Association.
This weekend saw the loss of Paul Rosner, (Left) Founder and President of USKBA. Action Sports.

Paul was extremely instrumental, not only for MMA in New Jersey, but many other sports in many states and countries. The guy was a work horse and sacrificed pretty much everything for the USKBA and all the sports he supported - MMA, Kickboxing, Muay Thai, Freestyle Sambo, Grappling, etc. Paul was a fixture in the combat sports world. He built the USKBA from the ground up with literally nothing at the start.

In 2004, when the ASA was just a small new group, it was Paul who allowed us to tag along and host our first freestyle sambo tournament. It was at the 2004 USKBA Action Sports World Tournament. I have very fond memories of that event. There were several international teams competing including Russia and Mongolia in the various sports. Many now well known fighters and coaches got their start at Paul's sanctioned events. Furthermore, during the years, Paul had allowed the ASA to present two combat sambo demonstrations at USKBA MMA shows. He certainly contributed greatly to the ASA's growth and subsequent notoriety.

The ASA worked in tandem with Paul on several occasions, most notably, Paul sanctioned the Battle of Brooklyn (Promoted by Mark Negron and myself). The Battle of Brooklyn, for several years was a very well respected and popular event in NYC that offered amateur fighters (Freestyle Sambo, Muay Thai, San Da, Grappling, and Sogo Karate) an opportunity to shine. Without Paul, the show may not have been as successful as it was.

Paul was not always easy to get along with (who is, right?), but in the end, his heart was always in the right place and he always backed multiple sports and events; often to his own financial detriment. He was always willing to fight for the sports we loved by taking risks with new sports, supporting or co-writing legislation, speaking at hearings, etc. The USKBA was the driving force behind many shows and events. And, in particular, it was his efforts with the NJSAC that brought regulated and professionally sanctioned amateur MMA to the public for the first time in NJ. Without a doubt, Paul was at the center of the growth of amateur combat sports in the NY/NJ area and many other regions.

For those of us who knew Paul, he was constantly struggling with health concerns and many of us worried about his health. Despite his health, he would always be seen in the wings at tournaments and shows all over the nation and world. He will be greatly missed.

IKF
Those of us here at the IKF wish to express our sincere sadness of Paul's passing. We have known Paul for years and had discussed fight sports often from the creating of his web site to his efforts in making the fight sports legal in many states. Paul was a sincere man with great passion for the fight sports. Our hearts and prayers are with him and everyone associated with him and the USKBA. He will be remembered with deserving honors this weekend at the IKF World Classic.

IKF WORLD CLASSIC
SUGGESTED AIRPORT SHUTTLE IDEAS

FIRST CLASS ARRIVAL

ARRIVE LIKE A
CHAMPION

To This Years IKF World Classic!

If you're a CHAMPION, you need to arrive like one to this years IKF World Classic!! Ride to the IKF Classic this year like a Star! Stars of the IKF as well as Kickboxing itself such a Special Guest Don "The Dragon" Wilson, Head of Officials Dan Stell and Mike Storm and former Kickboxing World Champion Johnny "Superfoot" Davis and several other IKF Officials and Staff will all arrive in style this year in Limos from Sunshine Limousine - www.orlandoluxurylimo.com. Maybe you will arrive in one too, for a lot less than you might expect...

In the past years the IKF tournament has been in Orlando Florida we directed attendees to use a Shuttle Transportation company that we thought offered the best deal and the easiest ride to and from the airport. However, what we didn't realize was that the basic shuttle service was not as pleasant as thought. Leaving every half hour with a full van, what should have been a relaxing ride from the Orlando Airport to the Hotel in maybe 20-30 minutes turned into an uncomfortable and cramped ride of 45 minutes to sometimes over an hour. So much for relaxing after a long flight...

Although those attending of course can still book a basic shuttle service with these public shuttle companies as suggested below, we thought it would be better this year to offer those attending an option for their ride to the Orlando World Center Marriott Hotel and this years IKF World Classic Tournament.

Enter
Sunshine Limousine
www.orlandoluxurylimo.com

Sunshine Limousine offers a wide variety of transportation needs but the one we needed most was the help of some relaxing trips for many of you from the Orlando Airport to the Hotel.

If you have a team of say 5 people, do the math and a one way ticket in a packed van for you 4 will cost you $165.00. Your other choice for just one of many examples and/or options is to book a Sunshine Limousine Cadillac Esclade which fits up to 7 for only $125.00 Round Trip!

Take off another 10% discount that is offered to those booking under IKF Kickboxing and that same trip cost the 4 of you only $110.00 or $22.00 each. Not to mention if you book your ride with Sunshine Limousine you will get picked up when YOU want to, not when the bus leaves, and your ride will be a DIRECT Ride from the Airport straight to the Orlando World Center Marriott without a bunch of stops along the way! You can book your return trip at the same time and save even more.

Here are some comparison rates for you;

ARE YOU REGISTERED?
Make Sure You Are LISTED For The 2009 IKF World Classic!

We have had some calls from people asking why they are not listed in the fighter rankings, only to find out, they never paid for their registration. We ask fighters and trainers to check the following pages ASAP since today is the LAST DAY of fighter registrations. We "May" have some European fighters register as late as next week due to Visa problems, but as for everyone else, today at 5:00 PM is the FINAL DEADLINE! Please make sure you are listed on one of the following pages...

  1. ALL FIGHTERS BY STATE & COUNTRY

  2. ADULT MEN

  3. ADULT WOMEN

  4. JUNIORS

  5. TRAINERS & CORNERMEN

A FAXED IN FORM Does NOT Mean you are Registered!
You must be PAID IN FULL TODAY!

POINT KICKBOXING
Point Kickboxing Fighters, TODAY is the last day you can register at the $70 Fee. After today, you can only register "AT THE EVENT" and the fee is $90.00. For thew record, MANY have said they are going to register "AT THE EVENT" so there are not a lot of Point Kickboxers (PKB) listed on the PKB Registration page found HERE.

TRAINERS
Today is also your last day to register at the $25 fee. After 5:00 PM Today "ALL TRAINERS" not listed on the "Registered Trainers Page" located HERE will be charged a flat fee of $50 at the event. We know that a lot of trainers "Listed" with their fighters on the fighter pages are NOT REGISTERED YET so PLEASE take care of this to avoid the "WAIT" at Registrations for your event pass.

OFFICE HOURS TODAY
Due to some meetings today, the IKF Office will be closed from 9:45 AM/PST until 2:00 PM/PST. If you have left a message for us on our answering machine, please don't wait for us to call you back. Once we return in the office, as it has been the last 2 weeks, we have had VERY LITTLE time to return phone calls so we suggest you keep trying to call us if you want to get registered for the 2009 IKF World Classic Tournament!

THURSDAY, July 9th, 2009, AT 11:45 AM/PST

MORE IKF WORLD CLASSIC BELTS
HAVE BEEN ORDERED!

Today the IKF just ordered more Championship Belts for the IKF World Classic. What this means is the "2" Fighter Divisions where the fighters have ABSOLUTELY no other choice to move to and attain a 3rd fighter for their bracket, these divisions will ALL be awarded IKF World Classic Championship Belts. ALL 2 fighter brackets where fighters have a clear suggested choice by IKF matchmaking though MUST move to a larger division to be in a BELT DIVISION. If your division still has the heading over it that says TROPHY DIVISION, you still need to move to a larger division as suggested by IKF Matchmaking.

MATCHMAKING
Speaking of these suggestions, we DO NOT have time to call each and every fighter to discuss matchmaking suggestions. For this reason we need EVERYONE to look at their fighter listing. If you have a matchmaking suggestion listed with your division, you NEED TO REPLY at the e-mail link provided.

RED COLORED NOTES
If you have any RED listed in your listing, (Need photo, fight record, height, phone numbers, birth certificate, etc. etc.) you must get ALL RED items cleared BY WEDNESDAY, 12 NOON - July 15th!
If not, you will be dropped from the Tournament! Birth Certificate copies can be faxed to 916-663-4510. Thank You.

Also to clear something up...In regards to this statement;
"And YES, EVERY CHAMPION in the Full Rules Kickboxing divisions will receive one of these beautiful Championship belts, even in the Junior division! "

Some mistakenly thought we meant only "Full Contact RULES" in this statement.
What we meant was the 3 Kickboxing rule divisions will receive BELTS, but Not the Point Kickboxing divisions.
We hope this clears things up in that area. See you all at "The SHOW!"

During this time, our web host company faced an unexpected problem that closed down all of our websites and hundreds of others. Along with this, the server problem also dumped any and all incoming e-mails. This unexpected issue was beyond our control and also beyond the control of our server company. This being said, if you sent us an e-mail throughout today, we ask that you please send it again so that we can assist you as needed. Thank you,
International Fight Sport Companies

WEDNESDAY NIGHT - 8:15 PM/PST: UPDATE
