North American Classic Champions do not have to compete at their regionals to
attend. Out of respect, they will be given the privilege of having a direct
Walkover to the USA National Finals Tournament and only be required to register
for the USA National Finals Tournament. ALL "PREVIOUS
YEARS" CHAMPIONS will enter the National Finals Tournament as the NUMBER
*1 SEED.
- (*) If you are a
previous years Champion and you plan to attend this years IKF North American Classic Tournament, you must
defend the title in the same weightclass and the
same rule style as the title you won last year. Otherwise, you will be
required to qualify your seed through your regional tournament, if one.
- SEEDING FOR FIGHTERS WITHOUT A REGIONAL:
If there is no regional in a fighters area, they will be seeded
below all fighters who do attend a "Seeding Regional Tournament". For
this reason, it is in the best interest of every fighter to try to register,
attend and fight at the closes possible "Seeding Regional Tournament".
- PASSING TO ANOTHER REGION WITH A REGIONAL EVENT:

MATCHMAKING AT THE
REGIONALS
CLICK
HERE |
- All FINAL MATCHMAKING and BOUT ORDER for
each regional event will be done AFTER ALL WEIGH-INS have been
completed. For this purpose, we ask that ALL
Regional Weigh-ins be done as they are at the Finals, the evening before.
If this cannot be done, we require ALL WEIGH-INS to be done a
MINIMUM 4 hours prior to the start of the
Regional Tournament.
- If a fighter discovers prior to their regional event that
there are no CONFIRMED opponents for them to fight in their weight class
, they will be given the option to either switch weight classes so they have a
bout at their regionals or they may choose to be a WALKOVER WINNER. See
3 next - below;
- REGIONAL WALKOVER WINNERS: IF no opponents show up
to compete in your weightclass and rule division at your regional tournament,
you can choose to be a WALKOVER WINNER and receive an automatic invitation to
