Duke Roufus
Has Revenge On Mind
In Comeback

Written By GARY D'AMATO gdamato@journalsentinel.com at www.jsonline.com

Former world heavyweight kickboxing champion Duke Roufus (Left) ticks off a number of reasons he decided to come out of retirement after three years. Nagging injuries he suffered during his run as a four-time *world champion have healed. He's changed his workouts and diet and added 15 pounds of muscle to his frame. He still spars with International Kickboxing Federation contenders he trains at the Duke Roufus Kickboxing & Boxing Academy in Milwaukee. And, oh yeah, there's the revenge angle.

Six years ago, Roufus lost to Sinisa Andrijasevic (Right) of Croatia, the reigning WKA World heavyweight champion, in a controversial bout in Trieste, Italy. On Friday, Roufus gets another shot at Andrijasevic on an IKF Professional kickboxing and ISCF mixed martial arts show at the Ramada Airport Convention Center Grand Ballroom, 6401 S. 13th St. in Milwaukee.

The show, called "Heavyweight Gladiators Return to *Colosseum," starts at 6:PM and includes seven pro kickboxing and mixed martial arts bouts. "It left a very bitter taste in my mouth," the 35-year-old Roufus said of his 99 loss to Andrijasevic. "I expect a very heated confrontation. I've got some surprises waiting for my Croatian buddy." Roufus said he was injured in the first encounter when Andrijasevic used an illegal judo-style hip throw in the second round. The confused WKA referee was giving Roufus time to recover when, after some commotion at ringside, he suddenly started a 10-count. Roufus staggered to his feet at the count of nine, but Andrijasevic pounced on him and quickly ended the contest. "It was pretty controversial," Roufus said. "I've lost to some good fighters, but the way this fight went down, it was a cheap shot."

Roufus weighed 225 then but weighs 240 now. He said he has been training since December 1st for this fight. "I'm not the same fighter I was in 1999," he said. "I'm older, but I'm more mature and well-rounded. I'm a very strong 240 pounds. I've kind of built more armor on my body. I've almost got the mentality of a middle linebacker for the Packers." Roufus doesn't know if his comeback will be a one-fight deal or if he'll take more matches. He said he turned down a K-1 pay-per-view offer in order to fight Andrijasevic in Milwaukee. "I've fought on five continents, but there's nothing like fighting in Milwaukee," he said. "I'll be in my own little Lambeau Field. I don't want to burden myself with any other thoughts except winning this match in front of me. I've got to win. I'm ready to fight hard." In another bout, heavyweight Horace "The Real Deal" Craft of Cudahy takes on eight-time world champion Mason Gibson of Chicago. Greta "Mo' Betta" Hicks of Milwaukee is featured in one of three pro mixed martial arts bouts.

(*) The Romans called the Colosseum "Caesar's Amphitheatre" or "hunting theatre"; the name Colosseum dates back to the XI century, and it's origin is uncertain. The most popular version is that the name comes from a colossal statue of Nero, called indeed Colossus Neronis, that at first was in the Domus Aurea. The statue was one of the most visible (and arrogant) features of Nero's residence: a 36 meter (120 ft) bronze statue of Nero placed just outside the entrance. This monstrosity was built in imitation of the Colossus of Rhodes, one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World. The Colossus was later dedicated by Vespasian to the Sun God - after replacing its face - and then affixed with the heads of several emperors, until Hadrian moved it near the amphitheatre. The transfer of the statue in itself seems to have been an admirable feat. Discussion among the experts is still open, though, because some have argued that 1) there is no substantial evidence of the presence of the statue near the amphitheatre; 2) the name Colosseum appears only from the XI century, when the statue had long disappeared.

(*) Roufus won his IKF World Title on December 4th, 1998 in Milwaukee Wisconsin, USA (Right) over Hiriwa TeRangi of New Zealand by unanimous decision 50-43 on all 3 judges cards. He defended it once with a first round KO over Grant Barker of Sydney Australia. Roufus voluntarily vacated his Super Heavyweight Title to move down to the Heavyweight Muay Thai Division. He later retired. However, at the end of October, 2000 he announced he would come out of retirement to fight in the K-1 USA. He lost his second round bout in the May, 2001 K-1 USA and his opening round bout in the August K-1 USA. On December 11th, 2002 he made his retirement official due to his busy schedule with promoting his own events and other work. His final fight record was 36-8-1/26 and in pro boxing he was 2-0/1.

This Pitbull Bites With Knees!
Scott Clark Captures
IKF Amateur World Title In Canada!

The Canadian flag flew high and proud in Calgary, Alberta, Canada last night as 2004 IKF Amateur Muay Thai North American Champion Scott "Pitbull" Clark added yet another piece of IKF Gold to his trophy case. A Trophy case filled with plenty of Gold already mind you. Clark used a barrage of knees in an explosive knee attack to drop his opponent, Nenad Grujic of Switzerland to the ground at 1:32 of round 2 of the scheduled 5 round bout. It would be there that Grujic would stay until referee Tim Yorke finished the full 10 count making the official win time at 1:42 of round 2. The win earned Clark the IKF Amateur Light Heavyweight World MuayThai Title and his 22nd win along with his 15th win by KO/TKO. The loss was only the second of Grujic's career.

Clark controlled the first round which say far less action between the two. Grujic caught Clark with a pretty solid uppercut but Clark answered back with punches of his own as well as his powerful knees. In the clinch Clark was simply too strong for Grujic who simply could not escape. This was the proving fact in the end when Clark took hold of Grujic and just exploded his body with knees. Congratulations to Scott on his win and becoming the newest IKF Amateur World Champion!

As for the event? Well, when some talk about sellout crowds and standing room only, many question if it's true. However if you were in the house last night you would have no problem confirming the fact that this was a "Standing room only sellout!" It was estimated at between 800 and 1,000 which did not include the many who had to be turned away due to the venue capacity. This event ran flawless and each of the scheduled 9 bouts were exciting from bell to bell. Although the other 8 bouts were not sanctioned by the IKF, these other 18 fighters are more than deserving of attaining some press here.

Here are the nights full results in order:

  1. Calgary, Alberta, Canada's Nate Smandych took the first win of the night. He defeated Fawz Amin of Richmond, British, Columbia, Canada in a special grudge match by unanimous decision.

  2. Bryan Campbell of Calgary, Alberta, Canada defeated Alance Beau Corbbrey of Hilton Head, South Carolina, USA by unanimous decision.

  3. Rima Sidhu of New York, New York, USA defeated Misty Sutherland of Calgary, Alberta, Canada by split decision.

  4. 2004 IKF Amateur Muay Thai North American Champion Darren Snell of Calgary, Alberta, Canada won a "VERY" close split decision victory over Brandon Gay of Hilton Head, South Carolina, USA in a bout that could have easily been scored either way.

  5. If not for the hurricane that stranded him (And several others around the USA) that forced a cancellation of his flight from Detroit to Orlando for last years 2004 IKF North American Tournament in Orlando, Canada's Phil Leier might be another 2004 IKF NAC Champion from Canada. Needless to say Leier had his hands full tonight with Commerce Georgia USA's Brian Robertson. In rounds 1 and 2 you could have tossed a coin. In rounds 3 and 4 though, Robertson easily won (In our opinion anyway - we didn't see the scorecards) and looked to be on his way to a decisive victory. However Leier came out in round 5 like he was a fighter starting fresh in round 1. Leier took it to Robertson who by this time was slowing, and won the bout by what we are sure would have been a very close unanimous decision.

  6. 2004 IKF Amateur Muay Thai North American Champion Jason Cutbill of Calgary, Alberta, Canada chalked up another win by unanimous decision over Adrian Bachler of Switzerland.

  7. 2004 IKF Amateur Muay Thai North American Champion Jesse Miles of Calgary, Alberta, Canada landed a perfect right leg round kick on the side of Minneapolis, Minnesota, USA's, Lucas McDevitt's head that cut his eye and took him down at :42 seconds of round 2 giving Miles his 11th win and 6th win by KO/TKO.

  8. Natalie Fuz of New York, New York, USA defeated Rayelene Kellock of Calgary, Alberta, Canada by split decision.

  9. Scott Clark of Calgary, Alberta, Canada defeated Nenad Grujic of Basel, Switzerland by Knockout at 1:42 of round 2 to capture the vacant IKF Amateur MuayThai Light Heavyweight World Title.

Congratulations to trainer Ajarn Mike Miles who's fighters filled the Canadian side of the card and won 7 of the 9 bouts. Also, a great job by Kru Simon Burgess who's two women fighters both took home victories. Overall this was a great night of kickboxing and Muay Thai action by all the fighters and a very professional job by the nights staff of officials.

Our hats go off to the great production of the Calgary Amateur Kickboxing & MuayThai Association (CAKMA). To CAKMA President Shelly Evans and her dynamic staff, we say "Thank You" for an exciting night of outstanding action!

Oh wait, we almost forgot. First of all it was great to see former 2 time IKF Champion Jason Jillian (Right, Among others of course) at the event. However, Jason made sure everyone remembered who he was on this night. At the return if the nights intermission Jason was introduced to the crowd and brought to the ring. When there, he called his girlfriend Kristi (So sorry if it's spelled differently -Cristie, e, ty, Kristy etc... but everyone should get the picture...) into the ring with him. Once there, you guessed it. Jason, as every true gentleman should, went to one knee and asked her to marry him... Which we're pretty sure she said "Yes" to but he forgot to put the mic to her for the answer. However, the answer seemed clear as he slid the ring on her finger. Congratulations you two!
Jason won his IKF Amateur Canadian Welterweight Title in Calgary, Alberta, Canada on June 14th, 1997 by unanimous decision over Dave Zuniga of Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada, 48-47, 48-47 49-46. He won his IKF Professional North American Super Welterweight title on April 7th, 2001 in Atlanta, Georgia, USA when he defeated James Cook of San Francisco, California, USA by unanimous decision, 49-46, 48-47 and 50-46. Jason informed us he is now officially retired after a career that saw him build a record of 29 wins, 8 loses, 1 draw with 14 wins coming by way of KO/TKO.

MORE IKF NEWS OF 5-28-05

IKF Central East Regional
Looking To Break Records!

IKF Virginia, USA: As of May 27th at 7:30 PM the IKF Central East Regional is breaking the record set by last years IKF Central East Regional. IKF Regional Director Craig Smith and his promotional Team have just registered their 75th fighter which if it stands, would break last years record set in Virginia for an IKF Regional Event.

Adding to the success of this event is that this year the Regional will accept Amateur fighters in 3 IKF Rule styles instead of just the one (Full Contact) as was offered last year. This year the regional will accept fighters from Virginia, West Virginia, North Carolina, Maryland, Pennsylvania, New Jersey and Delaware in Full Contact, International and Muay Thai rules.

With three weeks still left before fight time this mark should not only be broken, it should be shattered. "I have been contacted by three other teams whom have said they are promising at least 20 fighters." Said Smith. Although 75 fighters have registered, there are circumstances that could possibly change the outcome or number of fighters who actually show up to "Walk the Walk" on June 18th.

The only issue for Smith and his Team though are having received many Regional Registration forms that did not include the required registration fee as listed as a mandatory requirement for registration. Of course some say "The check is in the mail", still, without the required registration fees adds more paperwork for the organizers. If fees are not sent in or arrangements not made as required and stated clearly on the regional registration form - (Registration Forms "Without Fees" will be Disposed of) these fighters may not be participating. There are the possibilities of a Duty call from the Military, in the Virginia area which is not unheard of. There is also the injury factor, God forbid anyone getting hurt during training, but it does happen as we all know. This being said Smith and his associate promoters, Frank Cucci and Clark Walters, are still expecting a record turnout and more.

There is the possibility that this Regional will push the numbers to the Likes of The East Coast Classic, Currently the Largest Non National Championship event held in the Country. This would mean the East Coast Regional may surpass 100 registered or participating fighters.

EVENT OFFICIALS
This years referee for Full Contact will be Trey Wyatt out of North Carolina. With Trey's new surgery on his knees, this should be a different outcome for him as a judge. His movement around the ring will be much improved. IKF referee Fred Fitzgerald will be the Muay Thai and International Rules style referee along with many other IKF Judges such as Phil Maldonato out of New Jersey, Jack Dark and Willie Hunter Jr. out of Virginia Beach and Roger Dabney out of Richmond, Virginia. Martial arts legend Joe Lewis has even said he would lend a helping hand at this years IKF Central East Regional as a Judge. The Fight Doctors will be Dr. Green and Dr. Frodie, both are USA Boxing Doctors for the state of Virginia. The physicals will be done at weigh-ins.

LOCATION & TIMES
The event will be held at BlackHawk Martial Arts Center, (757-548-9550, 234 N. Battlefield Blvd in Chesapeake Virginia, 23320, on Saturday June 18th. The weigh-ins will be the night before starting at 5:PM until 10:PM at the same location. Late registers or weigh-ins need to be at the location by 8:AM that Saturday Morning. The fights will start Saturday morning, June 18th at 9:AM.

SPECTATOR INFO
There will be seating for only 350 which means both the daytime preliminary event and the night time finals event will more than likely be a sell out. Please contact one of these numbers for tickets (757) 491-1733, (757) 548-9550 or (757) 495-7070. If you are traveling from out of town and bringing spectators, please inform the event staff at weigh-ins as to how many spectators you are expecting and they will make arrangements to get them in the door. Tickets for the daytime event are $5.00 General and $10.00 Ringside. For the evening Finals, the General Admission will be $20.00 and Ringside $35.00.

Hotels info can be found at the IKF Central East Regional Page or by going to www.teamcopeland.com and click other info. Registration forms can be found by clicking HERE. or at www.teamcopeland.com or at www.craigsmithkarate.com - Please make checks or money orders to, Craig Smith and mail to, 1185 Broadlawn Road, Virginia Beach, VA, 23454 along with the mandatory "PRE-PAID" Regional registration fee of $35.00.

Mr. Smith (right) would like to add, "I want to thank my partners Clark Walters and Frank Cucci for all of their hard work so far getting this event ready. Most of all I would like to thank the people whom support me and my shows, I would not be able to do it with out you guys. Come Walk the Walk in Virginia with us all at this years IKF Central East Regional and prepare yourself for the 2005 IKF North American Classic to be held again this year in Orlando Florida, USA, August 19th, 20th & 21st."

Many more individuals make this great tournament possible as well which include all the coaches and trainers who put in countless hours with their only return being the look on each of their fighters face after a much deserved victory. It is their efforts that bring the participants to the Championship Tournament Events to truly "Walk The Walk" and become a TRUE Amateur Kickboxing Champion.

Without trainers, there would be no fighters. Without fighters there would be no fights. Without officials, there would be no order and without the support of family friends and the fans of this great sport, none of us would be doing what we love today in this sport.

We cannot forget the great support of the sponsors who we hope to have involved with this event as well as other IKF Sanctioned Events around the world. Please support the sponsors of our IKF Championship Tournament as they have proven their desire to support our sport and "Walk The Walk" with us.

Glove Sizes
At This Years
IKF North American Classic

Last Wednesday, May 18th, we announced that all Amateur fighters at this years 2005 IKF North American Classic will be wearing 10 ounce gloves. This decision was made to lessen the confusion at the glove table during the tournament. However, what we failed to address was the issue of Safety. After discussing with a lot of you on the IKF Team about the Safety issue (Of the larger fighters wearing 10 ounce gloves in the Tournament) over the last few days, we have re-adjusted yet again.

We have made the decision to follow the Amateur requirements set forward by USA Boxing. These standards are that all fighters below 165 lbs. shall wear 10 ounce Gloves. All fighters 165.1 lbs. and above shall wear 12 ounce Gloves. We here at the IKF thank all of you for your input in regards to this issue.

See you at THE SHOW in Orlando!

YOUR THOUGHTS?

Pro Full Contact Rules
Foot Pads & Kick Counting

With the use of the Message Board we can attain the many opinions of others here. Thanks to Jason (fight geek), (His user name on the board) we have a good topic to discuss this week. Jason asked a question about Foot Pads in "PRO" Full Contact Rules. From his starting post, we have added a couple more questions to ponder in regards to his topic. In general, they all center around rule changes for Full Contact Style. Together, all these questions are as follows:

  1. Should Foot Pads be mandatory in Amateur Full Contact Rules Bouts?
  2. Should Foot Pads be mandatory in Pro Full Contact Rules Bouts?
  3. Should Kick Counting be mandatory in Amateur Full Contact Rules Bouts?
  4. Should Kick Counting be mandatory in Pro Full Contact Rules Bouts?

There you have them. Your topics for the week to address. To go right to this thread CLICK HERE!

May-Hem IV
ROCKS!

Greenville, South Carolina, USA

IKF South Carolina, USA
As if anyone would expect anything less, IKF Promoter Ray Thompson (Right) and his Upstate Karate & IronSpirit Promotions once again treated us all to yet another dynamic edition of "Martial Arts May-Hem!" This being MAMH number 4, Thompson and his TEAM of course surpassed all their previous performances and set yet another higher standard of IKF Kickboxing shows. Heck, for that matter, ANY Kickboxing show!

The venue was the beautiful Palmetto Expo Center in Greenville, South Carolina USA and the set-up was outstanding. Especially the 4+ foot elevated, 100' fighters ramp to the ring. What an entrance it provided for the 18 fighters who put on tonights show. And what a show it was! Lights, smoke machine and 'Rockin' music made this shows one that kept everyone on the edge of their seats and when not there, they were standing!

A couple of years ago he was one of our IKF TV Fight Footage Directors. However tonight, Tim Bachman was behind the microphone as he belted out his fabulous rendition of the National Anthem to begin the show and the excellence didn't stop there. As ring announcer Sky Drysdale kept saying throughout the night, "This is what IKF Kickboxing is all about!"
Here are the nights results below...

  1. IKF AMATEUR FCR
Keith Kloiber of Lawrenceville Georgia (1-0/0, 176, 5'9", 30, 11-30-74) and Phillip Freeman of Simpsonville South Carolina (0-1/0, 180, 6', 34, 5-29-70) had something in common few fighters have. The "SAME" Trainer, Ray Thompson. A few months back, Thompson's school held an 'In house' smoker to get students interested in the sport. On that night, Kloiber and Freeman put on an explosive display and when the smoke from the fireworks cleared, many were asking to see it again, but this time, as a real bout. So, Thompson granted their wish and the wish of many who saw the first meeting and hooked them up as the lead off fight of the night. This night started out to belong to Freeman who took round 1 10-7 on all 3 judges cards. It was looking to be a blow-out. However, Kloiber pulled off one of the greatest comebacks we have seen at the amateur level. First he forced a standing 8 on Freeman in the second round to win the round 10-8 on all 3 judges cards. Then he forced 2 standing 8's on him in round 3 to take the round 10-7 and the win on all 3 judges cards 27-25. Great action by both but what a comeback by Kloiber!

  2. IKF AMATEUR FCR
Becki "Bam Bam" Halloran of Simpsonville, South Carolina, USA (4-1/0, 142.5, 5'7", 33, 7-20-71, Ray Thompson) defeated Katie Davis of Fredricksburg, Virginia, USA (5-4/0, 149, 5'8", 21, 5-19-84, Travis Alexander) by unanimous decision 30-27. As in her previous bouts, Halloran was a non stop endurance machine that just never slowed up. Davis was tough, but Halloran never gave her a chance to keep up with her.

  3. IKF AMATEUR FCR
Lori "Lil Bit" Burney of Simpsonville, South Carolina, USA (4-2/1, 115, 5'4", 32, 8-12-72, Ray Thompson) gave Cara "The Terror" Dickerson of Virginia Beach, Virginia, USA (4-1-1/0, 112, 5'1" 28, 5-3-77, Craig Smith) her first defeat by majority decision, 28-28, 29-28 and 30-26. The draw score surprised us as we had Burney unanimous 29-28. Still, we would like to see Dickerson against someone her size and weight at 112 lbs. because the 3 lb. difference may not seem like a lot, but Burney showed all the power on this night being the much stronger fighter in the ring.

  4. IKF AMATEUR FCR
"Lightning" John Greubel of Atlanta, Georgia, USA (17-0-1/2, 152, 5'10", 23, 2-13-82. Zack Day/Mark Greubel) and Shawn Giles of Dalton, Georgia, USA (14-2/8, 152, 5'9", 32, 1-6-73, Ben Kiker) looked to be one of the best bouts of the night on paper. With only 1 loss among them both, on Giles side, and a total of 30 wins together, the crowd had high hopes for this one. Let it be known that these two did not let anyone down!!! This was an exciting bout that didn't need any kick counters as these two blasted away in a special 4 round non title bout. In the end Greubel pulled out the majority decision 38-38, 40-37 and 40-37.

  5. IKF AMATEUR FCR
Brendan "Cash Money" Carpenter of Simpsonville, South Carolina, USA (5-1/2, 211, 6', 38, 2-20-67, Ray Thompson) defeated Justin Steckler of Fredricksburg, Virginia, USA (5-5/0, 211, 5'11", 22, 2-19-83, Chris Manuel) by split decision 37-39, 39-37 and 39-37. This bout to us seemed to us to be all Carpenter as he was the stronger and more aggressive fighter on this night. Having a younger days amateur boxing record of something like 70-2 didn't hurt either as his boxing skills along with his powerful kicks made for a strong 'One-Two-Three' combination he worked all night long.

  6. IKF AMATEUR FCR
At last years 2004 IKF/TKO North American Championships in Orlando, Florida, USA Bobby Smith entered the tournament without any fight experience... Yes, an 0-0 record. Three fights later he was the new IKF FCR North American Lightweight Champion. In round 1 he defeated Jason Beck of Maultrie, Georgia, USA by unanimous decision 30-27 on all 3 judges cards. In his championship bout he fought and defeated Patrick Lynch of Waynasboro, Pennsylvania, USA by unanimous decision 30-27 on all 3 judges cards. Between Lynch and Beck though was a fight against someone many thought was going to be the 2004 NAC Champion, Dallas "Wild Thang" Crowe of Greer, South Carolina, USA (12-7/2, 129, 5'7", 20, 9-8-84, Kevin & Shannon Hudson). However, Smith took it to Crowe by unanimous decision, 30-26 on all 3 judges cards. Simply put, Crowe was looking for, and tonight, got his rematch. However, it was everything Crowe "Didn't" expect it to be. Smith was quicker, stronger and more powerful in all 5 of the scheduled rounds in this special 5 round non title bout. Although there was no title on the line, you might of thought there was with the excitement this fight made in the crowd. In the end Smith brought his name to the spotlight once again as he easily handled Crowe, especially in round 2 forcing 2 standing 8 counts, 50-42 on all 3 judges cards. Giving a fighter like Crowe two defeats like he has is no easy task! Crowe is no easy opponent for ANYONE! With this being said, and we think Crowe will even agree, listen here and now everyone, this Bobby Smith is going to be a BIG NAME in this fight game soon enough, if he isn't to some of you already. The training Ben Kiker is giving him should soon propel him to World Champion status... Mark our words! Keep in mind he has only had 6 fights, and listen to what we are already saying about him!

  7. IKF PRO FCR
Peyton "The Artist" Russell just moved from Minnesota to South Carolina. He said he wanted a change of scenery and change of life-style and the South Carolina countryside and the warmth and hospitality of these people down here just won his heart. So, the soft spoken Russell packed up his bags one day last fall and moved South. Some may say the rest is history, but lets not jump ahead of ourselves because Russell is actually in the middle of his history making future. Tonight Peyton entered the ring as a Professional fighter for his first time and entered as simply "Peyton The Artist!" It didn't take this artist long to paint a picture of kickboxing perfection all over Augusta, Georgia Jason Miller (2-2/2, 185, 5'10", 29, 6-5-75, Mike Carlson) body on his way to a TKO victory at 1:03 of round 4.
In Peyton's corner now stands trainer Ray Thompson who will guide him to his future of Pro Kickboxing after an outstanding amateur career of 36 wins and 6 loses, 9 wins by KO/TKO. Now the 35 year old 5'11", 178 lb Peyton is on a new mission. A mission to the top, and the way he looked tonight, move aside everyone, because there is only room for "ONE" Artist...

  8. IKF PRO FCR
When you see Raoul "Axeman" Doucet of Hawkesbury, Ontario, Canada (13-4-2/6, 228, 6'2", 38, 2-26-67, Johnny Mucciaronne) standing on the scale in a muscle flex you think he is unstoppable in a way former Super Heavyweight champion Dennis Alexio was. However, when you see Dan "Son of a Preacher Man" Erickson take the same pose, what stands out more is something like, "What's he weather like up there Dan?" Erickson of Duluth, Minnesota, USA towered over all of us at 6'6" tall, but appeared more like 10 feet tall. He doesn't think he hits hard but were sure after tonight, Doucet will gladly inform him he's wrong. After coming out and winning round 1 10-9, Erickson came out for round 2 like a freight train with no breaks. He dropped Doucet quickly in round 2 with a right. After taking a standing 8 count from referee Dan Stell, Doucet found himself in the headlights of that freight train once again. Soon after, Erickson let off an explosion of punches and kicks that sent Doucet to the ground again as Dan Stell called the bout as round 2 ended.
    So who is Erickson?
Well, we tried to tell you but few listened . . . And just for you, let us tell you about him here again. But this time, DON'T FORGET HIM!
Dan "Son of a Preacher Man" Erickson is from Duluth, Minnesota and is now trained by Bill Lassi. Dan's pro record "NOW" is 8 wins, 1 loss, 1 draw with 6 wins coming by KO/TKO. This was after having an excellent amateur career under the guidance of former IKF Pro FCR Super Heavyweight World Champion Mike LaBree. As an Amateur Dan won 21, lost 1 and won 11 of those 21 by KO/TKO. While an amateur Dan won back to back IKF National Amateur Tournament titles. At the 2001 IKF National Amateur Tournament Dan won both his Saturday prelim bouts and went on to win the FCR Heavyweight Title on Sunday with a victory over Wil Joseph of Dallas Texas by TKO at 1:18 of the 2nd round. At the 2002 IKF National Amateur Tournament Dan successfully defended his 2001 FCR Heavyweight Title when he defeated Mark Mortensen of Lake Zurich, Illinois by unanimous decision 29-26 on all 3 judges cards. Now as a professional, Dan and his trainer Lassi have just one single goal in mind... Becoming the IKF World Champion! However, it won't come easy. Standing in their way is the other train coming down the track who took Doucet out in round 1 to win the IKF World Title they want. 6'5", 224 Mark Selbee, and you all know what happens when two trains meet head on...! We can hardly wait for such an explosion!

  9. IKF PRO FCR
Most normal fighters would never take a fight against Stephen "Wonderboy" Thompson, get delt every strike in the book in a losing effort, "AND" later, ask for a rematch. However, Kadir Kadri of West Babylon, New York, USA (P: 10-6-1/5, 191, 6'1", 23, 12-12-81, Tom Ingardiola) is no normal fighter. As some would say,"He's a freak of nature!" Especially when it comes to tolerating pain. Still, being such does not always grant you the skill to outwit a fighter like Thompson... Which explains a lot about why he's called "The Wonderboy!"
Tonight Thompson, of Simpsonville, South Carolina, USA (P: 4-0/3, 187, 6', 22, 2-11-83, Ray Thompson) gave Kadri everything in the Wonderboy trick bag, and to the surprise of us all, Kadri stayed up. However, please don't take such a feat as the fight was close. Kadri showed us toughness we have never seen before, but what he didn't show us was his ability to score on the Wonderboy. In the end, this was all Wonderboy in every single round as he won his 4th professional fight in a row in as many outings by unanimous decision, 70-63 on all three judges cards. The only thing Kadri can now say is that he is the first professional fighter to take Thompson the distance... Which in reality, may mean little in the fight game...

Tonight we saw some outstanding amateur talent and we hope to see them all at this years 2005 IKF North American Classic in August in Orlando Florida battling it out again! As for the professional fights, what else can be said but WOW! Who doesn't like great Professional fights?!

Great job by everyone and especially Team Thompson! Sorry if we missed anyone, but it's a little late at night... Or that is... Morning. We look forward to the next card this fall. IKF Joliet Illinois, USA
For the past 5 years, we have seen HCX fighters "Walk the Walk" all over the Midwest. Saturday, May 14th, not only did they "Walk the Walk" but HCX Mixed Martial Arts Trainers, Master Ron Hill, Master James Hill, and Sensei Brian Thompson made their promoter debut.

"Stand Off 1" took place at the Joliet Park District in Joliet, Illinois, marking the first time for a combative sporting event in Joliet. The nearly sold out crowd was treated to all 3 rule divisions; FCR, IR, and MTR, plus submission wrestling and an awesome San Shou demonstration by Masters Ron and James Hill. Wait… There's more. Not only is James Hill an incredible fighter, but his voice is incredible too as he opened the show with The National Anthem.

Due to an entire team pulling out and a couple of "No Shows", Tashi (Ron Hill) had to scramble to fill the card and with the help of Team Toro (Richardo Perez), he did just that and did a fantastic job. Stand Off 1 presented 5 IKF sanctioned kickboxing bouts and 4 submission matches. The results are as follows:

K-1 USA Press Release
From Scott Coker - K-1 USA

Dear fellow members of the martial arts community:
During the last several weeks, there has been a great deal of speculation and discussion concerning the possible involvement of the K-1 organization in a martial arts fighting event that is scheduled to take place at Calgary, Alberta, Canada's Max Bell Center on Saturday, June 4th. I am writing to resolve any confusion pertaining to this matter. Neither K-1 nor any member of its organization is involved, in any capacity, with the promotion of this event. The event is being promoted by Mr. Keith Crawford (Right) in conjunction with the "Heavyweight Gladiators" professional kickboxing series based in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.

On behalf of the entire K-1 organization, I would like to wish Mr. Crawford and his colleagues the best of luck with their event on June 4th. Mr. Crawford has been an exceptional promoter and contributor to the sport of martial arts fighting for quite some time and we hope he will continue to be so.
Sincerely,
Scott Coker

Rijker to Meet Martin In
"Million Dollar Lady"

LOS ANGELES, USA: Better late than never. That's what boxing observes are saying after it was announced that *Lucia Rijker will meet Christy Martin in a boxing match July 30th at the Mandalay Bay Resort & Casino in Las Vegas, Nevada, USA. In what is being billed as the "Million Dollar Lady," each fighter will receive a guaranteed $250,000. The winner then will get an additional $750,000 bonus, making this the first $1 million payday in women's boxing history.

"It's a miracle but (promoter) Bob Arum deserves all the credit," Brian Young of Prize Fight Promotions was quoted as saying in an Internet report. "Bob did a spectacular job of putting the fight together. It's almost a miracle after all of these years that the fight can be made." Young explained that Top Rank will promote the bout with Prize Fight helping with event coordination. Reports indicate the contractual weight will be at 142 pounds "plus or minus a pound."

(*) Lucia Rijker now lives in Van Nuys, California, USA but comes from Amsterdam, Holland. She has been called the "World's most dangerous female fighter" on a pound-for-pound basis as well as "The Most Dangerous Woman in the World," along with other nicknames such as the "Queen of Lightning," "Lady Ali," and "The Dutch Destroyer." Born in Amsterdam on December 7, 1967, Rijker began training in judo at the age of six. Although some may not know it due to her popularity in Boxing, Rijker started out in kickboxing. She began kickboxing at age fifteen, studying in the gym of Johan Vos, one of the most respected training facilities in Holland and training primarily with male kickboxing, boxing and judo champions. She burst into prominence in the kickboxing world in her sixth match on January 15, 1984 ... disabling veteran American champion Lilly Rodriguez (sister of then world champion kickboxer Benny "The Jet" Urquidez) just 30 seconds into a scheduled five-round fight with powerful kicks to the legs.

Rijker gained an international reputation as a kickboxer, fighting in Europe and Japan. She defeated then-world title holder Cheryl Wheeler of the USA by decision in Amsterdam on October 6 1985 (and is considered responsible for helping to persuade Cheryl to retire, by breaking her nose in that fight!) She also defeated French champion Nancy Joseph in three rounds, Master Toddy's British star Ann Holmes in 30 seconds in Amsterdam on April 26, 1986, and the skilled French kickboxer Danielle Rocard in just 15 seconds in Arnhem on February 14, 1988.

Bonnie Canino lasted a full seven rounds against Lucia in a clinch-filled affair but lost the decision, while Valerie Henin was dispatched by her in four rounds in Amsterdam on November 8, 1987 (though not without a struggle). Lucia eventually amassed a 36-0 (25 KO) record as a kickboxer, and won four different world titles.

On March 21st, 1996 in Los Angeles, California, USA Rijker entered the world of professional boxing as she faced and defeated Melinda Robinson by Knockout in the first round. Rijker's last professional boxing bout was on May 2nd, 2004 against 2000 IKF/RINGSIDE USA National Amateur Champion Deborah "Sunshine" Fettkether at the Amsterdam Arena in Amsterdam, NH, Netherlands. Rijker won a 10 round unanimous decision and her 17th straight professional boxing win, 14 of them coming by KO or TKO.

In 2004 Rijker had the chance of working together with Clint Eastwood, Hilary Swank and Morgan Freeman in the movie Million Dollar Baby. The shooting for Lucia's part in the movie took only 2 weeks, and the end result was the one and only 'Billie the Blue Bear'. But Lucia didn't only act in Million Dollar Baby, she also trained Actress Hilary Swank (Who played Maggie Fitzgerald in the movie) in boxing. 2005 Martial Arts May-Hem
"A Night of Kickboxing"

IKF South Carolina, USA
May-Hem 05 is rapidly approaching, this weekend matter of fact. The fight card is top notch, the fighters and trainers are all on board and the crowd in Upstate South Carolina is nervous with excitement about this event. Ray Thompson and his IronSpirit Promotions Team have gone over board on this event. They have invested over $13,000 in TV promotions, over $3,000.00 in radio, more than $3,500.00 in print and that does not include the internet and in-house promotion they put together. If the show is not a MAJOR sell out then Ray and his team will have to go to fight promotions school or something because they have pulled out all the stops on this one and there isn't anything left in his bag of tricks to promote the show any better than they have.

  • The fight card goes as such:
    1. The first fight is between two tough hard hitting boys that like nothing better than to see heads snap back and fighters go to there knees from body shots. There names are Keith Kloiber from the Lawrenceville, Georgia area and Phillip Freeman from Simpsonville, South Carolina. These two were hand picked by Ray to start the show right.

    2. The next fight will be a "GIRL" fight as Ray calls it and it is sure to be a crowd pleaser. Becki "Bam Bam" Halloran from Upstate Karate in South Carolina will be fighting Katie Davis from Virginia. Katie is the more experienced but Becki is ready and wanting to test her new fight name that was loaned to her from Dan "Bam Bam" Stell. Dan said if she is going to wear it she has to earn it.

    3. Third fight of the night is another "GIRL" fight between Cara Dickerson from Craig Smith's camp in Virginia Beach and 2004 IKF North American Champion Lori "Lil Bit" Burney From Team Upstate Karate. Cara has the fight name "Terror" and is surely ready, willing and able to prove why she has that name and "Lil Bit" is wanting to show why she is the 2004 IKF North American Champion.

    4. Fourth fight of the night is between two Georgia boys. 2004 IKF North American Champion "Lightning" John Greubel will be taking on Ben Kiker protégé Shawn Giles in a four round fight. Everyone knows when you put two Georgia boys together there are going to be fireworks.

    5. The fifth fight is between Justin Steckler from the Chris Manuel camp in Virginia Beach, Virginia and Brendan "Cash Money" Carpenter from Team Upstate Karate. These two heavy weights are sure to please you with both power and speed. They can punch, kick and move and with a little style to boot. Not often do you see heavy weights that move like these two. This fight is a four round fight also.

    6. The final amateur fight of the evening and the "Main Event" Amateur fight is a rematch between Dallas "Wild Thang" Crowe who trains with Shannon "The Cannon" Hudson under big brother and former World Champion Kevin "Hurricane" Hudson and another Ben Kiker protégé and 2004 IKF North American Champion Bobby Smith. Dallas and Bobby fought last year in the 2004 IKF NAC with Bobby coming out with the victory. Ray saw a GREAT rematch opportunity between these two and grabbed it before anyone else did. This is sure to be one of the greatest FIVE round amateur fights of the year.

    7. Now to the professionals. Everyone has heard of Peyton Russell, now known as Peyton "The Artist." Peyton has held several IKF NAC titles as well as many other titles from other organizations. He is making his professional debut against a game tough fighter from the Mike Carlson camp named Jason Miller. Jason is 2 & 1 as a pro but that doesn't rattle Peyton for his game plan is set and he is ready to exact it upon Miller with extreme malice. Of course you can be sure that Mike Carlson will have a plan of his own for Miller. This will be a rough and tumble fight fest to be sure.

    8. In come the BIG boys. Six foot, six inch Dan "Son of a Preacher Man" Erickson (Right) will be taking on "The Axeman" Raoul Doucet. Raoul is around 235 lbs Canadian muscle and is known for his powerful Tae Kwon Do style Axe kicks. He will have to really get them up there if he wants them to be effective on Dan. Dan hails from Duluth, Minnesota and is trained by Bill Lassi, father to Aaron Lassi. You might remember Aaron just fought and beat Muzamal Nawaz who is also from Canada. The Erickson/ Doucet fight is a seven round non title fight that has KO written all over it.

    9. The final and Main Event Pro fight of the evening is another rematch between the "Wonderboy", Stephen Thompson and Kadir. You might remember their first outing last year at "Martial Arts May-Hem 04" where the Wonderboy surprised Kadir and stopped him in the fifth round with perfectly placed body shots to the liver and solar plexus. Kadir, before he left the ring that night said he wanted a rematch and to his credit informed us first that he was ready to do it with the Wonderboy when Ray called to set him up to fight someone else. Of course this made Ray's job easy since it has been very difficult to find opponents for Stephen. This fight too is a seven round fight that is sure to go down in the history books as a "Rematch of Rematches". Well that about does it for Martial Arts May-Hem 05. If you miss this one you've missed a lot.

IKF Titles
For Non Ranked
IKF Fighters?

As many here know we receive well over 100 e-mail a day from around the world. This does not include the usual spam and junk mail we receive. Within these 100 plus e-mails we often receive some from promoters around the world asking the this question, "Would it be possible for a fighter from another organization who is not ranked in the IKF Rankings to fight on an IKF event or for an IKF title?"

Some of these promoters have told us the stories about what other sanctioning bodies have told them to keep them away from the IKF, such as
"You can't fight for the IKF unless you are in their rankings."
Or...
"To fight for the IKF you need to join their rankings which is about $500.00."
That's funny... It's only $25 for a "Lifetime" membership and it has been this way since we started accepted open registration for the rankings about 8 years ago. To see our fighter registration forms, Click HERE.
HOWEVER, you DO NOT have to be in the IKF Rankings just to fight on an IKF Sanctioned event or to even get an IKF Title shot.

Despite what some other sanctioning bodies have been telling people with these questions, the answer is "YES, you can fight on an IKF Sanctioned event as well as for an IKF Title even if you are not in the IKF Rankings."

Why? How? Well lets be honest here everyone. Despite our work to rank as many fighters as possible, we all can agree that not every kickboxer in the world is in the IKF Rankings. So, when we have someone inquire about a title shot, of course, the first thing we do is look to the IKF Rankings. If we find a credible contender in the top of the rankings of the division the title is in, we do our best to book them for the shot. However, what has happened before is that no one in the top 3-5 and sometimes, even in the top 10, want to fight the fighter we put forward as challenging for the title. This forces us to seek out another contender, which in time we or even the Promoter will end up finding. This is because we want an IKF Title to be fought for by the "BEST" contenders possible in the region that the title includes.

So if you are a trainer somewhere around the world, and you have a fighter who has won a title(s) in other organizations, but is not in the IKF Rankings, let us know who you are. If you are a promoter who wants a certain fighter, who is not in the IKF Rankings, to fight for an IKF Title on your event, let us know about him/her. Send in a bio via e-mail or simply register him or her into the rankings by clicking HERE. By event time, those title contenders who may not have been the rankings will surly be in there by event time after we have been informed of them.

Such was the case when we started to look for a top contender to face IKF North American Amateur Light Heavyweight Muay Thai Champion Scott Clark (See article below) of Alberta, Canada. Clark was the number 1 ranked fighter in the Light Heavyweight division. However, his training partner Jesse Miles had just moved up in weight after winning the IKF North American Amateur title in the Middleweight division last year. Due to Miles record (9-1-1/5) and proven ability, he quickly became the number 2 ranked fighter in the Light Heavyweight division and the rankings looked as so:

  1. Scott Clark, Calgary, Alberta, Canada, 21-3-1/14
  2. Jesse Miles, Calgary, Alberta, Canada, 9-1-1/5
  3. Brandon Banda, Concord, California, USA, 7-0-1/1
  4. Terence Connor, New York, New York, USA, 3-0/1
  5. Spenser Buhler, Nampa, Idaho, USA, 3-1/3

Surly we would not match Clark up against Miles, so we started at the number 3 contender who was California Champion Brandon Banda of Concord, California, USA (7-0-1/1). Although Banda did not quite qualify for an Amateur World title shot, we still were required to follow procedures. However, we were informed by IKF Official Dan Stell that he was injured and would not be unable to take the bout. So, do we move to the number 4 contender? Well, if it were for a US Title, we may have allowed our number 4 or number 5 contenders to take the bout.

However, Terence Connor of New York, New York, USA only had a fight record of 3-0/1 and Spenser Buhler of Nampa, Idaho, USA, had a fight record of 3-1/3, which did not qualify either of them for an Amateur World title. So, we took the search to Europe where Nenad Grujic of Basel, Switzerland, (13-1/6) was found with the assistance of those involved with the event.

What we are saying here is, in the end, we will do our best to make sure that the IKF Fight Fans will be able to witness
"The Best" Vs "The Best"
When it comes to ANY IKF Title Fight... Amateur or Professional

Is There A Future World Champion
Making His Debut On
"The Standoff I?"

Special To IKF - Joliet, Illinois, USA
This weekend will mark the debut of Eddie Ray Cox. Eddie is entering the ring with a dream on his mind. That dream is to one day become a professional champion, competing on an international level. This Scrappy 18 year old is coming from meger beginnings and planning on skyrocketing to the top of his category.

Last year while attending Joliet Central high school, Eddie met Master "Tashi" Ron Hill of HCX Mixed Martial Arts during his power lifting class. Tashi noticed that this kid looked pretty scrappy and that he took his working out seriously. Eddie was approached by Tashi and given a free scholarship so that he could realize his new found dream…. Becoming a Muay Thai Warrior.

The time has finally come, after a year and a half Eddie will be making his Muay Thai debut against another warrior by the name of Arthur "The Sniper" Barkauskas. While Arthur has more ring experience than Eddie, Eddie has expressed that no matter what happens, this will just add to his experience and send him on his way to becoming a Muay Thai Champion. He has said that nothing would give him more pleasure than being able to support his family through professional fighting. Look out for this kid because he is coming with a purpose.

Christopher Terry
Reflections Of What Could Have Been...
Speak Volumes Of All Who Have Past This Way

Recently IKF Professional fighter Christopher Terry of Phoenix, Arizona officially announced his retirement from fighting. In his e-mail to us he thought he had not really accomplished anything in the world of kickboxing and people may really care less that he has retired. Well... Maybe in other circles or other organizations Chris, but not here at the IKF.

In fact, Chris' words to us are really the words of hundreds of kickboxers who's lives take them down various paths and at some point, have to say good bye to a sport they love. Those who debut in this sport such as Eddie Ray Cox above, have the same expectations as Chris did when he made his debut in the sport. All have high hopes and dreams of becoming a kickboxing champion someday. Some will fulfill their dreams while others of course, never reach them and eventually have to hang up the gloves and move on with other journey's of their lives. Such was the case with Chris, but as you will see below, it reads best in his own words and just so you know Chris, your words speak for hundreds who have past through this great sport.

Of course Chris wished he could have fought more and been amongst the names of the ones who did capture their quest for glory. However, like many in the sport, he never got that call to compete against some of his peers he felt were at the top or more success than him. Now kickboxing will have to remain a dream for him. An unfulfilled dream to him of what could have been and he has come to closure with this, knowing that he will now have to live with these regrets.

In his letter, he made a point that he wanted to publicly apologize to his trainer/manager and good friend Clement Vierra. (Left). "I thank you Chief for all you have done although I may have shown some disrespect at the end there, please believe me it wasn't intended. I have always respected you as a trainer and a friend. I always looked up to you and still do. I hope that we can put this behind us and continue to be friends and be as close as we were in the past."

Chris continued, "I would also like to thank Rick Roufus for allowing me to train at his gym. It is an awesome gym with great people. It was an honor to train there. I enjoyed fighting for the IKF and one of my best memories is of the 2001 nationals in Kansas City. The feeling I felt being at that tournament, I had never been in a room filled with so many fighters. I had a great time being with friends and other people who love the sport as much as I do. A piece of me will die, a piece of me will go on, and a piece of me will be back. I'm looking forward to giving back to the sport I love someday. Thank you."

Chris retired as the number 6 IKF world ranked Pro International Rules fighter in the Light Heavyweight division. As an amateur Chris had a great career with 9 wins and only 3 loses with 7 of those wins coming by KO/TKO. At the 2001 IKF Nationals in Kansas City, Kansas, he lost to eventual National Champion Danny Griffin of Lake in the Hills, Illinois by unanimous decision. At the 2002 IKF Nationals in Davenport, Iowa, he was forced to fight out of his normal rule style of International rules due to no other contenders in his division. Still, so he could fight at the event he entered the Full Contact Rule style division. There he was again matched up with the best in the division as he lost his opening round bout to yet another eventual champion Kevin Engel l by TKO at 1:34 of round 1.

After the 2002 Nationals he fought again on November 5th. He was the nights Main event facing a fighter named Rick Tybor. Chris had a lot on his mind going into the fight. First he lost his Mother the day before the fight and he was fighting back from two losses. However on this night he won big. He scored a 1st round Knock Out over Tybor in :55 seconds of the first round! Terry said after the bout, "This Fight was for my Mom, I Love You Mom."

On January 28th, 2003 at the Rodeo Nights Night Club in Phoenix, Arizona, USA supported by a big fan following, Chris made his Professional Kickboxing debut. He fought a fighter named Marcel Godfrey. Chris was really pumped up for the fight since it was his Pro debut and he was coming off the big Knockout win over Tybor. In round 3 of the bout with Godfrey, Chris came out all business, landing hard kicks to Godfrey's leg's and side kicks to the body. Then it happened... Chris landed his right hand and Godfrey went down! Although Godfrey got up, Chris rushed him again and landed a jab then a right and it was over!!! Godfrey went down and Out!!! AND WE MEAN OUT!!! Godfrey was OUT on the canvas for 10 minutes. When he came to, the ringside doctors checked him over and he stood up on his own. it was a big win for what Chris thought was the start of an excellent Professional career. So big that the win earned him a quick nickname... "2Quick" Christopher Terry.

Following his big pro debut win Chris was offered a shot at the vacant IKF Arizona State title on August 3rd, 2004. However he was defeated by Oscar Montano (Surprise, Arizona, USA, PK" 5-0/3, AK: 9-5/4) by TKO in round 3. This was Chris' last fight...

The paths Chris' life took after this bout changed his future. As he said in his own words, "Life has taken me down a road where kickboxing will have to remain a dream, an unfulfilled dream. I will have to live with these regrets." If only Chris knew that he was not alone with his thoughts. That his words are the words of hundreds of former fighters who shared the same dream as he, it's just that he has made them public. We will miss you Chris, and we wish you luck in the future paths of your life.
If you wish to say hello to Chris, his e-mail address is crizo9@msn.com

Eddie Futch's Legacy
Special To The IKF From His Wife, Eva Futch

"Boxing appears to have hit a new low." According to invitations that were mass mailed out into the Las Vegas community, my late beloved husband Eddie Futch, is to appear at Caesar's Palace (Pure) tonight, along with his Champions to celebrate "the History of Boxing". It's not a story of a miracle resurrection, but of deception from A to Z.

My husband had a passion for helping young men make something out of themselves and along the way created 22 Boxing Champions. He was "barn storming' with his fighters just for a place to stay due to the segregation. Back then, it sometimes meant you risked your life traveling in the South. Young black men could sometimes be seen hanging from trees as a form of intimidation, as Lady "D" so famously sang about.

After his retirement, he had time to reflect on his life and mourned the fact that due to the depression, he could not become a Doctor, which was his dream. His legacy DESERVES so much more than this, than to be used as a decoy for an unscrupulous Boxing Promoter (Sterling McPherson); For Sterling's own publicity purposes. (Caesar's are not at fault; "Pure" Has independent management.)

While the boxing public is aware that my husband passed away in '01, I want to apologize on behalf of the Futch Family to the unsuspecting public at large who is planning to attend. I ask you to help me spread the word that this is not about Eddie, or "honoring" him. I feel, it is an exploitation of its worst kind.

Sincerely,
Eva Futch

The TOE
That Took Down A World Champion...
Well... Sort Of...
Portions of The bout Explanation Are From K-1 Reporter Michael Afromowitz
Photos Curtesy of K-1 USA Website

When Three-time K-1 tournament champion, Michael McDonald withdrew from last months K-1 Battle at Bellagio IV in Las Vegas due to an arm injury that he sustained during a sparring session, his replacement in the live Pay Per View television event became undefeated IKF World Champion Mark Selbee of Atlanta, Georgia, USA.

With High Hopes and in his own words, "Nothing to lose", Selbee set out to be the next K-1 Champion. However, the last thing Mark expected was to be sidelined from the event due to a "Toe Injury."... Yes... A Toe.

As always, there are people who question why a fighter may pull out of a bout, as there were with Mark. Still, here's the scoop... Selbee added a nice sense of color to "The New Fighting Sport" by exploiting the kicking skills that he honed since earning black belts in both Tae Kwon Do and Hapkido.

Facing Japan's Tsuyoshi Nakasako, Selbee stayed busy by unloading a number of axe kicks and reverse roundhouse kicks. Although Nakasako was scoring kicks to Selbee's thigh, it was Selbee who was more effective in battle and who gained a unanimous judges decision at the end of three rounds.

However after winning his opening round bout Selbee was forced to bow out of the competition due to a toe injury. So... your thinking, "A toe injury? How bad can a toe be?"

Well, Mark sent us a photo of the toe and although we didn't come right out and ask him if we could show it, we just couldn't turn it down. Sorry Mark if the ladies get a little sqeemish, but we just couldn't pass this up... Besides, your already spoken for Superstar!

This photo is not for the "Weak Stomach and Sqeemish..."
So if you click the link, don't say we didn't warn you...

SMACK!....WOW!
Franck, Ingardona, Kvool, & Nikko-Ki
SMACK THE HOUSE!

IKF Rockford, Illinois, USA: We just don't know of a better headline. This was what we heard, and the first thing we thought as we witnessed what we "Honestly" have to say, was one of the "Quickest" round kick to the head we have ever seen! The good news for Bryce Franck is that it was his left foot that landed on the right temple of his opponent's head at the 1:47 mark of the first of 5, scheduled 3 minute Muay Thai rounds. The bad news for Dan Lucas was that it was his right temple that took the kick that dropped the 215 lb Lucas to the canvas. "He hit me with a really good right hand that I think broke my nose." Said Franck after the bout back in the locker room. "But I shook it off and worked him to the corner and I heard Duke yell 'LEFT HIGH KICK' and I threw it."

Franck's trainer Duke Roufus saw something... An opening in Lucas' defense and he called it. Just like the mighty Babe Ruth pointing and calling his home run to center field. The kick was so quick, even Lucas told Franck later he didn't even see it coming... Your not alone Dan, none of us saw it either. All we heard was a SMACK which left us stunned as we said "Wow!"

It was only the 6th loss of an outstanding fight record for Lucas who has had trouble getting pro fights under his main skill rule style, full contact. In fact, all of his 22 wins had come in that rule style and now 2 of his 6 losses have come in leg kick bouts. However, it was NOT a leg kick that took him out tonight. On the other side of the ring stood a victorious fighter who had just recorded only his 4th win as a professional as he improves his professional record to 4-1 with 3 wins coming by KO/TKO. "Bryce has improved a lot." said his trainer Roufus. How true he was too since Franck's amateur career struggled greatly through only 2 wins and 6 loses. Sometimes it just takes the right combination of people around you, and Franck seems to have all he needs at this point in his life.

As if the help of Duke Roufus and Scott Joffe were not enough promoting Franck on their Milwaukee, Wisconsin events, now enter promoters Frank Ingardona and Colin Kvool of Nikko-Ki Training Club in Rockford, Illinois. Ingardona, Kvool and their staff were smooth as silk tonight. Their promotion was an honest "Sell-Out" with standing room only. The hungry Rockford Illinois kickboxing fans must be excited to have so much kickboxing action in town! Rockford is a city that was once one of the greatest kickboxing cities in the U.S., but had lost the sport. However within the last few years, IKF Kickboxing has come to town and awoken the fight fans once again. Now with the addition of Ingardona & Kvool's events, Rockford will continue to be well fed with legit and credible Kickboxing actioin.

Prior to the "Smack and WOW" were 7 great Awesome Amateur undercard bouts. Here are their results below.

FRIDAY, May 6th, 2005, AT 11:10 PM, PST

    Damian Norris
    of Excel Academy, Rockford, Illinois, USA (1-1-1/0, 158, 5'11", 17, 1-31-88)

  2. Welterweights
Adam Saunders of Functional Martial Arts Academy in Madison, Wisconsin, USA (1-0/0, 147, 5'9", 21, 3-29-84)

  3. Super Welterweights
    Tim Riordan
    of Team Lucky Strike, Madison, Wisconsin, USA (4-3/1, 150, 5'10", 21, 4-17-84)
defeated Alex May of Functional Martial Arts Academy in Madison, Wisconsin, USA (0-1/0, 153, 5'9", 22, 12-25-82) by TKO at 1:26 of round 1.

  4. Middleweights
    Jesse Aswill
of Functional Martial Arts Academy, Madison, Wisconsin, USA (1-0/1, 165, 5'10", 28, 9-15-76)
defeated Brian Robertson of Schlotterer House, Elmhurst, Illinois, USA (0-1/0, 160, 5'11", 21, 12-8-83) by Knockout at 1:44 of round 2.

  5. Light Heavyweights
    Chris Trautsch
    of Duke Roufus Kickboxing, Boscobiel, Wisconsin, USA (2-0/2, 180, 5'10", 28, 1-20-77)
defeated Gabe Wassner, of Nikko-Ki Gym in Rockford, Illinois, USA (0-3/0, 174, 6', 34, 9-22-70) by Knockout at 1:06 of round 2.

  6. Cruiserweights
    Bryan Kovar
    of Schlotterer House, Elmhurst, Illinois, USA (1-0/1, 192, 6', 23, 1-11-82)
defeated Neil Roberts of Nikko-Ki Gym in Rockford, Illinois, USA (1-1/1, 195, 6'1", 33, 9-6-71) by Knockout at only 22 seconds into round 1. Robert's stood and beat the count but was just not all there as referee Al Wichers waived it off. Good call Al!

  7. Super Heavyweights
When Terry Brown of Chicago, Illinois, USA was announced to the ring, he entered flipping forward over the top rope. After a shady landing he choose to re-impress us with a perfect back flip in the middle of the ring. This may not sound impossible but considering Brown weighed 258 lbs may make you aware of how impressive such a move was from this former USA Gymnastics Olympic hopeful. When the bell rang, Brown (258, 6'3", 29, 9-1-75 and a claimed 11-0 record in MMA) charged at his opponent Rafal Czaplicki of Nikko-Ki Gym in Rockford, Illinois, USA (2-0, 222, 6', 27, 7-18-77) with a barrage of punches. This lasted for a little more than half the first round. However as the second minute went buy, it was clear that Brown had pretty much used up his gas on two pre-fight flips and a 1 minute explosion of punches. Give round 1 to him, but the patient Czaplicki fought rounds 2 and 3 carefully picked his shots and scoring big on jabs and right hands since Brown could hardly hold his hands up to protect himself. However Czaplicki had used up a lot of gas defending from Brown's 1 minute bombing on him in round 1. Although it wasn't a pretty one, a wins a win and Czaplicki took this bout 29-28 on all 3 judges cards.
  8. Pro Heavyweight: Bryce Franck of Rockford, Illinois, USA (4-1/3, 210, 5'10", 29, 8-12-75) defeated Dan Lucas of Rochester, New York, USA (22-6-1, 215, 5'11", 33, 8-9-71) by Head Kick Knockout at 1:47 of round 1.

Congratulation on a great show are due to Promoters Frank Ingardona & Colin Kvool, associate promoters and founders of Heavyweight Gladiators, Duke Roufus and Scott Joffe, and of course the dynamic teamwork of the entire Nikko-Ki Gym event Staff! 11. Main Event 10 Rounds For The IKF Pro FCR North America Light Middleweight Title
Aaron Lassi (Duluth MN USA & Honolulu Hawaii USA) vs Muzammal Nawaz (Canada)

Saturday April 30th brought Muzammal Nawaz kick boxing team from the Toronto, Burlington Ontario Canada area to the Hinckley Grand Casino for the USA Vs Canada Battle of the Warriors. The show was put on by Bobby Anderson & Bill Lassi.

The main event was an IKF North American Light Middleweight Title fight between Nawaz and Aaron "Lightning" Lassi. Expectations were high for Aaron, back from a Hawaiian training regime for the title shot. Nawaz didn't come to be a patsy. He brought his 19 & 5 pro record and drove over a thousand miles for his chance to grab the open North America Title. After the back and forth victories between the Canadian and American teams, anticipation was palpable as both fighters conducted themselves into the ring with the gentleman ship becoming the professional kickboxers that they are.

From the opening bell, Lassi's fans saw a combination of the "Lightning" Lassi of old and a clear headedness that instilled confidence in the home town crowd. Coming off of a loss last year in Michigan by a close decision, Aaron was intent on dominating the fight. Aaron barely put his front foot down as he frustrated Nawaz with a barrage of side, round and front kicks. Inside the clinches Aaron stayed busy, showing the determination to win the fight hands down. Nawaz took all this in stride, throwing some brilliant kicks himself including an axe kick that got the crowds attention and a smile from Aaron.

In the closing rounds of the fight, Nawaz seemed unsettled by Aaron's aggressive kicking style while Aaron seemed equally comfortable as he had in the first few rounds. This was a testimonial to Aaron's conditioning and training regiment. While Nawaz put on a world class caliber performance, there was no doubt in anyone's mind as the judges tallied the score cards that the winner on this night was Aaron "Lightning" Lassi and his avid fans. Thanks to Hinckley Grand Casino, Warriors Kick Boxing, IKF Rep Tom Sullivan, center referee Jim Peterson, Ibn Ali, the Canadian team, Bobby "The Warrior" Anderson and Bill "The Thrill" Lassi for a great card and a great night.

Team USA & Team Canada Ended in a Tie At 5-5.

Round 3: Herbert now sensing how effective his body combinations of punches & kicks were having on Daniel's unleashed a tremendous left body punch putting Daniel's down once again for 8 count. IKF Referee Mike Fowles stopped the contest 36 seconds into the round with Daniel's unable to continue.

Round 3: Again the pace was fast but with Murphy showing signs of tiring slightly, Dheer took advantage with the judges scoring 10-10, 10-10, and 10-9 to Dheer. Valledarez, Fonseca & Palacios
Win IKF Gold At LTD's
Fairfield Fight Fest

IKF Fairfield, California, USA
Last Saturday night, April 30th, LTD Productions and Channel Lumber hosted another night of IKF Championship Kickboxing at the Allen Witt Sports Center, Fairfield, California, USA. Due to Prom season and other special events in the area it may not have been their largest crowd of the night but as far as Title Bouts go, these were probably THE BEST they have put together!

The night had planned to only have 2 IKF Amateur titles. However, late in the week, matchmaker Dan Stell worked his matchmaking magic and secured a third IKF Title bout for the night. That third title bout scheduled as the first of the 3 IKF Amateur Titles on the nights card but it was just as exciting as the others. This was for the vacant IKF Amateur MTR California Lightweight Title. Andrew Valledarez of San Jose, California, USA (8-0/1, 131, 5'7", 6-28-87, Cung Le) met up with Vishnu Gulati of San Francisco, California, USA (5-1/2, 131, 5'8", 8-4-86, Sam Phimsoutham). This was an exciting match-up that went the distance. In the end Valledarez took the unanimous decision victory and the Title, 39-37, 40-36 & 40-36.

The next IKF Amateur title on the line was between Mike Fonseca of San Francisco, California (8-0/0, 182, 5'8", 2-18-75, Sam Phimsoutham) against Kurt Floyd of Modesto, California (5-3/1, 186, 6', 10-14-80) for the vacant IKF Amateur MTR West Coast Light Cruiserweight Title. This was yet another great fight. In the end, we thought it was clear that Fonseca won all rounds, However California State Athletic Commission judge Davie Nelson scored it 39-37 for Floyd while the other two judges scored it 39-37 and 40-36 for Fonseca. Regardless, the right fighter won as Fonseca took the win by split decision and the vacant title. This was the first IKF Title won by Kru Sam Phimsoutham's Team out of San Francisco, California. Congratulations guys and by the way, Love that new Thai music!!!

The Main event featured a fighter well known in the West Coast Kickboxing circles. San Jose California's Jose Palacios (11-1/4, 146, 5'8", 11-10-82, Cung Le) meet up with Johnny De La Cruz of Modesto, California (2-1, 147, 5'8", 3-21-79) for the vacant IKF Amateur MTR West Coast Welterweight Title. On paper this looked to be an easy bout for Palacios but De La Cruz had other plans. De La Cruz came out on fire and exploded on Palacios. Just when we thought Palacios might be in for a war of his life, he turned up the heat. However so did De La Cruz. After 1, the judges saw Palacios more active and scoring more shots. This continued throughout the bout. In the end, the scores look one sided, but don't be fooled, this was a WAR! Palacios takes the win by unanimous decision and the vacant title, 40-36 on all 3 judges cards!

There was one other amateur Muay Thai bout on the card and it featured Ryan McClintock of San Jose, California, USA (2-0/1, 214, 5'10", 12-3-73, Cung Le) against Sacha Silvani of Sacramento, California, USA (0-1, 200, 5'10", 8-15-84, John Harris, Hits Training Academy). This bout ended at 1:11 of round 3 by TKO with McClintock taking the win due to excessive blood coming from Silvani's nose.

Great job on the matchmaking Dan!! And Great event! For more info please call Mr. Tim Stell at (707) 372-0882 or by e-mail at Bambamstell@aol.com

Martial Arts May-Hem 05
Scheduled For May 21st!

Raoul Doucet

Stephen Thompson

IKF South Carolina, USA
Ray Thompson's (Right) Martial Arts May-Hem looks to be ready to roll on May 21st at the beautiful Palmetto Expo Center in Greenville, South Carolina, USA. Thompson and his IronSpirit Promotions Team have once again, as always, an exciting pro and amateur fight card planned. On April 14th we informed you of the Amateur card, and is how the Pro card is as of press time today.

The first pro fight of the evening will be between Peyton "The Artist" Russell and Luis "El Diablo" Rodriguez. Peyton is originally from Minneapolis, Minnesota but now resides in Simpsonville, South Carolina, USA. This will be Peyton pro debut. His amateur record is pretty extensive with 34 wins, 6 losses and 9 wins by KO/TKO to add to that winning record.

At the 1999 IKF National Tournament Peyton made it to the finals only to lose to Zach Day of Augusta Georgia by TKO at 1:56 of round 2. At the 2000 IKF National Tournament Peyton again made it to the finals. However there, he lost to a young and talented 16 year old Stephen Thompson while Peyton was 30 by unanimous decision, 30-23, 30-24, 30-24.

Finally at the 2001 IKF National Tournament Peyton won the IKF Gold when he defeated Eustorgio Gama of Lake Zurich, Illinois by unanimous decision, 30-28, 30-27 & 30-27 to win the FCR Middleweight National Tournament title.

At the 2002 IKF National Amateur Tournament in Davenport Iowa Peyton successfully defended his title when he defeated Travis Buchlolz of Eau Claire, Wisconsin USA by unanimous decision 30-27 on all 3 judges cards.

At the 2002 IKF North American Amateur Tournament in South Carolina, USA Peyton won the first North American Tournament title when he defeated Shannon Hudson by majority decision, 50-45, 48-48 and 48-47.

"El Diablo's" is from Martinez, Georgia, USA and is ranked 12th in the IKF Pro FCR Super Middleweight division. He has a record of 13 wins with 3 losses. This fight is set for six rounds in the Light Heavyweight (172 lbs-179 lbs) division. This should be a match-up of speed and stamina vs speed and stamina which will make for a busy and entertaining fight.

The next fight will be between two powerhouses. Raoul "The Axeman" Doucet will be fighting 6'6" Dan "Son of a Preacherman" Erickson. Raoul hails from Hawkesbury, Ontario, Canada and is trained by Giovanni Mucciarone. His record is 14 wins, 3 losses, 1 draws with 7 wins coming by KO/TKO. He is the current IKF Super Heavyweight North American Champion and won the title on April 26th, 2003 in Glenville, West Virginia, USA when he defeated Mike Sheppard of Palestine, West Virginia by unanimous decision. He defended the title on May 15th, 2004 in Simpsonville, South Carolina where he stopped Ronnie Copeland of North Carolina due to an nonintentional foul in round 9 of the scheduled 10, (Doucet's knee was coming up on his kick and his challenger Ronnie Copeland ducked into it and his knee hit Copeland in the temple knocking him out) The bout decision went to the score cards where Doucet was clearly ahead, 87-84, 88-84 and 86-85.

Doucet lost his bid at the IKF Super Heavyweight World title on September 11th, 2004 in Atlanta Georgia, USA when he lost to Mark Selbee of Atlanta, Georgia, USA by TKO at 1:09 of round 1. Doucet is eager for a possible rematch but needs to get past Erickson first.

Erickson (Right) is from Duluth, Minnesota and is now trained by Bill Lassi. Dan's pro record is 7 wins, 1 loss, 1 draw with 5 wins coming by KO/TKO.

Both are big, both are strong, both have known that this match-up was inevitable. Somebody is going to be put to sleep in this fight. This fight is also scheduled for six rounds and is a match up of power vs power.

The final pro fight will be a rematch between Stephen "Wonderboy" Thompson (Left) and "Kadir". Kadir (Right) trains under Tom Ingardiola from West Babylon, New York. The Wonderboy's pro record is 3 wins with all three coming by the KO/TKO and if you are not familiar with his past, Click Here.

Kadir has a pro record of 13-6-1 with 5 wins coming by KO/TKO. They first fought in May of 2004 with the Wonderboy stopping Kadir in the fifth round with solid body shots to the liver. Kadir went down several times from those body shots until referee Dan Stell finally had to step in and stop the fight.

Word has it that Kadir had never been stopped. Before he stepped out of the ring he asked Thompson for a rematch. Well one year later his wish will come true. Some felt Kadir took the Wonderboy to lightly there first time out. He is sure he will not make the same mistake twice. This will make for a GREAT rematch of skill vs determination.

Can Rulings Change?
Should They... Could They... And if So How...
Getting Back Into The Day - Bartinelli Decision.... A Change?

Three judge panels of Federal Circuit Courts of appeals get reversed by the U.S. Supreme Court ALL THE TIME. That does not mean that the Supreme Court believes that they are biased, incompetent or corrupt. It just means that, in one case, the higher court believed that they were wrong. And a delay in making the call is indicative of being cautious. As for the recent Day and Bartinelli reversal, if the reversal came in 24 hours, many of you might say that it was a rush to judgment. All of course are points to consider. However, as seen on the message board, there are many other points to consider. ALL of which are very justified and valid reasons why the original decision should stay.

Today we took some time to reflect on all of the issues at hand. What the original 3 judges scored the bout as live at the event. What the first review team came up with after watching a video of the bout with the commentary, and what the last review crew came up with, watching the fight without audio. As many here know, the first review kept the decision as was at the fight, with Day winning. However this last review changed this decision. However again, this last review was not necessarily fair to the reality of the judgement of the nights officials who all watched the fight live.

After this event, there was not a lot of discussion about the fight. No one was jumping on the message board and complaining about the decision. Yes, we received complaints here, but this happens after many bouts, and not all of them get reviewed let alone overturned. To add, there was never any Official Bout Protests filed by Bartinelli's camp. They only asked us to review it, which we did. After the first review, we never heard from Bartinelli's camp again about the bout, so there was never any additional push from them to "Re-Review" it. This was a decision made here at the IKF Headquarters only because we were discussing procedures of bout protest reviews and this bout came up in the discussion.

Today is a new day, and a lot has past since our posted reversal of decision below. We have read the views and opinions of many of you on the message board. Aside from the insulting ones, many of them on there made very good sense. After our meeting earlier today we made a decision about all that has happened and begin to type this story. As we worked, we randomly checked the message board for additional comments. As the thread progressed and we read more and more taking their shots at us, our first worry was that we did not want anyone to feel we responded or acted under pressure from anyone. However, many of these posts "DID" assist us in a logical and justified conclusion. In the thread about this issue, one person made our decision clear. It was a post made by a person named Mark Martin. Mark made the most sense to us as he asked the simple question, "Did the decision to reverse the outcome of this fight fall under the IKF Rules Regarding Bout Protests?" And to be very honest and up front, the answer is no.

Mark was not insulting and did not try and pressure us with his points. He simply stated some facts and asked the obvious;

  1. Did the decision to reverse the outcome of this fight fall under the IKF Rules Regarding Bout Protests?
  2. If so, does the failure to follow the rules of bout protests (All protests decisions will be determined by the IKF Advisory Board within 30 days of the filed protest) invalidate the reversal?
  3. If not, is there a provision within the IKF's governing authority which allows it to indiscriminately pursue a potential reversal (of any fight) absent a protest and outside of the rules shown below?

These three points were the focus of our meeting earlier today. "Did we 'REALLY' do the right thing?" In a court of law, judgements are made as to whether a person "DID" or "DID NOT" do the crime. In the fight game, although still judges, the reality is very different. No jail time or any form of punishment goes to the loser. Changing a decision so late in time only raises questions as to what we thought of the officials that night and as many pointed out, we do not want to start questioning officials on every card, let alone 6 months later. In our discussion earlier today, Mr. Stell pointed out that he has seen many bad decisions in boxing matches, and we have all seen questionable decisions in kickboxing. However, this does not mean we should reverse or review "EVERY" close decision. If so, we would either be really rich from protest fees or have no time to run the IKF. We would be far too busy watching fight videos.

The night of this bout Bartinelli was declared the loser after judge Lee Bradan of South Carolina scored it 66-66, Judge Peyton Russell of Minnesota scored it 68-64 and Judge Mike Wood of Georgia scored it 67-65. Bartinelli was deducted a point in round 6 for hitting Day in the back of the head after being warned twice by referee Dan Stell. So, if we added that point back in, Bartinelli would have still lost according the the three judges cards by "Split" decision, 67-66 for Bartinelli, 68-65 for Day and 67-66 for Day. An officials review of the judges scoring on this bout was requested by Bartinelli's trainer Clement Vierra the night of the event, but was not officially filed as requested by the IKF Rules and Regulations in regards to Bout Protests. The reason this itself took so long is because it took a long time to receive a video of the fight. As in many high profile bouts, there are always unofficial IKF Scorecards at ringside. After the Bartinelli point loss, these 3 unofficial judges scored the bout 66-66, 66-66, and 67-66 Day. To those "unofficial" judges, they saw a majority draw that favored Day. So none of the 6 judges who saw it live had it for Bartinelli on their final scores after the point loss.

Now for the decision. First of all, thanks to Mark, we assure everyone that from here forward, we will NEVER review a bout outside the required time lines as noted on the Official Bout Protests Rules. "UNLESS" as in Raoul Doucet's case as explained below, the promoter never sent us a video and it simply took a long time to receive a video to review. In addition, as we have also added to the Official Bout Protests Rules Page, there needs to be a justified reason for an official bout protest. Some of those reasons may include but not be limited to:

  • Personal issues with a certain judge such as favoritism or a judge having personal ties to a fighter and can be proved these ties are either negative or positive towards one or both of the fighters involved.
  • A questionable knockdown that resulted in a standing 8 count.
  • Problem with the round times, too long or too short.
  • Incorrect scoring due to a knockdown or standing 8 count.
  • If a fighter loses a point in a round for missed kicks.
  • Failure of equipment that caused an issue with the fight. (Ring breakdown etc.).
  • Additional reasons will be determined if justified by the IKF Headquarters.

As for the Day - Bartinelli decision? This of course took some thinking. However, as we thought we had did a few days ago, we realized that maybe we had not made the "Right" decision. Today we have made the final decision as to what we are doing with this bout. And we do mean final. This bout was scored live at ringside by "6" judges (3 official and 3 unofficial). It also went through an unofficial review. In the end, none of the 6 at the event had Bartinelli the winner "After the point deduction," and Day also won the majority of the votes during the unofficial video review after the event. Knowing this as facts, our decision for this bout is to stick with the decision of the live judges at the event who were at ringside, which was, judge Lee Bradan of South Carolina, 66-66 even, judge Peyton Russell of Minnesota, 68-64 for Day and judge Mike Wood of Georgia, 67-65 for Day. The final decision, Zach Day the winner by majority decision.

We want to thank all of you who participated in the discussion on the message board about this issue. Your thoughts, comments and opinions are greatly valued here at the IKF. It is great to have our message board where we can allow all of you to speak freely with your opinions of things whether directly related to the IKF or the sport in general. We would also like to thank the 3 judges who scored this bout live at ringside and we apologize for any perception of our lack of trust in you as judges. We trust all of you, Lee Bradan of South Carolina, Peyton Russell of Minnesota, and Mike Wood of Georgia, tremendously and continue to welcome all of you to judge any IKF event. We would also like to point out that neither Anthony Bartinelli or anyone in his camp, or Zach Day or anyone related to his camp contacted us here at the IKF to discuss any of the decisions made here after the first unofficial review. BOTH of these fighters are great fighters and I am sure they would both welcome a rematch, any time, any where.

Now, as many of you have pointed out, we here at the IKF not only welcome a rematch of these two, we will accept it as a defense of Mr. Bartinelli's Pro FCR IKF Light Middleweight World Title! In addition, since promoters are not quick to jump on doing a pro fight let alone a World Title fight due to the expenses, we will make this requested rematch even better. We here at the IKF will not charge any world title sanctioning fee to the Promoter who wants to promote this fight. Now lets see who will step up next...
